Any thoughts on this latest B.J. debacle?

Dudes, what are the Bucs thinkin'? Don't they have any respect for the guy's fragile psyche regarding such treatment, moreover, for the guy that quarterbacked their team to a Super Bowl Championship!? Puzzlement! ??? Well, maybe they are trying to light a(nother) fire under his ass as, according to this piece, he plays best when he's mad... I just wonder what kind of "mad" they mean,  or  :

Maybe they are using the model of treatment the Raiders used with Rich Gannon during the '02 offseason, i.e. piss your starting QB off and watch him go on to break passing records.

Brad Johnson has nothing to complain about. If he did not realize, even taking into account the fact he had one of the best seasons of his career, this Tampa Bay team is based around its defense, not it's offense. Brad Johnson needs to realize that this is about a team, and if a restructuring of a contract is needed, he should do it without whining about it. He should take in light what Keyshawn Johnson, Derrick Brooks, and John Lynch did when all three of them offered the Bucs, if needed, that they would restructure their contracts.
As if Brad Johnson wasn't making enough, he wants more. I guess making somewhere around $5 million isn't enough for him...
Just like Frank Thomas of the Chicago White Sox being ridiculed for complaining about his "restructured" contract, players should just shut the fock up. Anyone whom defends cases like these most be making alot of money themselves...
Does Brad Johnson have a right to be mad? Of course. Though, if he wants a shot at winning another Superbowl, he should shut his trap.

It wasn't a bonus. Here's a simplified version.
Old Contract
3 mil now, 3 mil next year (1.5mil guaranteed), 3 mil third year
This means, basically, there's no way in hell they cut him after this year because they'd have to pay him 1.5mil regardless.
New Contract
4 mil bonus, 1 mil now, 1-2mil next year, etc.
The difference is, they can spread out this bonus over the next few years to reduce the cap hit of this year, and if they want to cut him next year he has no guaranteed salary so it would be a minimal cap hit. They offered to tack on the extra money to the bonus, but it indicates they want him for this year but possibly not next year.
He has every right to be pissed, but damn man. Take the bonus money and be happy.
