Who has the better chance of starting, and further, who will put up better #'s this season.

Now that I think of it, throw in Marcel Shipp to the mix. He may not get a lot this year because of Emmit "I'm 93 and can still play" Smith, but he could get goal-line carries and still be a value in a keeper league, as he'll start in a few years.

Which of the 3 guys?

Correll Buckhalter will carry a fairly large part of the load for the Eagles this year.  There were some people (unnamed of course) in the organization who thought he would have been the starter last year had he not been hurt in the mini-camp.   I still think he is a risk this year.  He's coming off a serious knee injury (think Edge last year without nearly as much talent).  Plus Duce and Brian Westbrook are healthy.

Trung Canidate intrigues me.  I think he will be the starter come September.  He has the ability to put up some nice numbers, but keep in mind that Spurrier (throw, throw, throw) is still his coach.

I would expect a little less from Shipp this year than he did last year.

That is one tough call! I honestly wouldn't take any of the three unless something changes between now and August. I think Buckhalter has great potential, but I think it will be RBBC there. I think Candidate may be the best of these three, but don't get real excited about any of them!

I think Candidate is the only one who is going to be a
starter opening day.  The other two have proven veterans in front of them, and barring injury are not going to get enough carries to be productive fantasy starters.

I agree that Candidate could be "intriguing" but the problem is Spurrier. One mistake or bad game and he will be demoted to third string. Then it will take 3 or 4 weeks until he gets back to first string again. Too much risk involved for me!

Thats why we will let the Rad take him in the 3rd.

I agree...Canidate is one of those RB's that you want as your 4th RB...a risk to sit on your bench that may pan out later on.  He'll go way before that, so I won't be drafting him this year.

Canidate was tailor made for the Rams offense, yet he failed.  I don't see how he is going to make it in the Redskins offense.  He is not a pounder for short yardage and he fumbles.  NOT GOOD!  I must admit my bias towards Betts, but I really think he is going to emerge in Washington as the starter.
