No, ya' don't, Jon! But, that's because there aren't any official sources corroborating this "story." I checked EACH and EVERY source on "the Gridiron Newsstand" and even went to KFFL and there wasn't a thing, not even on Dallas Cowboys-specific message boards. My guess is that is just Footballguys being Footballguys guys. Don't get me wrong... They have some smart guys there. It is just that they are so full of their own football knowledge that they start believing their own headlines and end up creating, or should I say churning out, rumors based on half-truths or (ill-)logic that is not based in fact or even facts. It is not that they do this all the time, just "all too often," so to speak, for my tastes, and in these instances, they end up, or come off as, presenting their opinions and speculation as if it all were reality. To be honest, I think I read this rumor on some other FF message board about two months ago. I mean there is some logic to the idea... from a fantasy football perspective, but not really from a real football perspective. Bill Parcells wants young players, who can be molded and have a future with him, and veterans who have played for him or a protege of his like Bill Belichick so he can indoctrinate the team. Charlie Garner neither fits Parcell's system of building a team, O.J. Anderson notwithstanding, nor Parcell's offensive system, epitomized by O.J. Anderson. Garner did not come up through the Parcell's line; he is actually part of the "West Coast" family. And, there is no way the Raiders go into the '03 season with Justin Fargas, although I do like him and think he has a bright future, as their #1 starting tailback. NOOOOO WAAAAAY! And, they are not going to revert back to Tyrone Wheatley. So, Jon, don't go hastily trading Hambrick away yet! I have him and would not even think of moving him based on this rumor. The same goes for Garner owners. And, don't go bumpin' Fargas up those rankings too fast yet! Well, great post, anyway, Jon! It should "provoke" some interesting discussion!
