This is my first year in Fantasy Football. I am learning as the season goes and could us some help. I have been offered Shawn Alexander and Bryant Johnson for Marvin Harrison and Micheal Pittman
My RB's now are,Stephen Davis, Micheal Pittman, Stacy Mack, Aveion Cason and Justin Griffith My WR now are Marvin Harrison, Amani Toomer, Eddie Kennison and Javon Walker. I also have TE Jim Kleinsasser.
The only keeper we get is our 16 or 17 round pick which I selected Chris Simms. We have 14 teams and our scoring is basic. QB - 4 comp. = 1pt. TD = 6pts. Passing yards 1 pt for 25 yards INT = -2 pts RB - TD = 6 pts. Lenght of TD increases pts. Rushing yards 1 pt for every 10 yards Receiving TD = 6 pts Receiving yards 1pt for 20 yards WR- Same as RB's We have a K and a Def. as well
With a RB duo of Alexander and Davis, you're in excellent shape.
You WRs will be weaker after the trade (and you may want to demand something a little better than Bryant Johnson in return), but the additional points you get from RB should make up for it.
Besides, it seems like Manning-to-Harrison isn't the same as it used to be. I haven't seen any Colts games to know if Harrison is getting covered better (but when Reggie Wayne goes off like he did week 3, I imagine the opponent is paying much more attention to Harrison.)
Yep. The RB heavy scoring should significantly favor Alexander. Go with it. Pittman looks good now, but we still don't know if he'll be suspended in the future.
Thanks for providing more info DC. I too would do this trade. For a 14 team league, you'd have a great RB tandem, plus Toomer at WR. I'd keep my eye on the waiver wire for a WR just in case to upgrade there, but over all, the trade helps you out!
