Just a quick hello from St. Louis...

...home of the injured Rams. For what it's worth, Lamar Gordon has looked real quick hitting the holes and getting around the corner. I really think he may have one killer week against the Cardinals this week.

Rookie WR Kevin Curtis should be back after the Rams' bye week, which means he should be ready for week 6. For some of the guys in very deep dynasty leagues, he may be worth a pick up.

I haven't been around here at all this season due to unforseen and inoppurtune circumstances, but  just wanted to say hello all, and I hope everyone is doing well so far this season!

Steg, feel free to do whatever you want to this thread!

Welcome back paul... you've certainly been missed around here.  Hope everything is cool with you now...

Thanks for the Rams info.  Who has more upside, in your opinion, Kevin Curtis or Shaun McDonald?  This isn't for this year of course.

Paul - since you're the resident St. Louis Rams expert here, I have a question for you too.  Is there any chance at all that Bulger will be benched if he has a bad game this week?  I have to make a decision soon if I will drop Warner (I can only have 2 QBs on my roster), and pick up someone else.  Seeing that the best available are Blake, Carter, Vinny, Holcomb and Fiedler, a chance that Warner will regain the top job is a more attractive prospect.

Don't doubt Fiedler with eveyone keying an Ricky.  It seems as if he is coming into his own.
Plus you have a viable backup that puts pressure on him to preform.
Reason 3 is it looks as if Chambers is turning into the great receiver that I expected.  He will go get anything and catch everything.
I expect good numbers from jay and better than alot for Chambers!

I really think the only way that Martz goes to Warner is if Bulger gets hurt or plays terribly. Martz doesn't like to upset the apple cart, and the unsaid feeling around the team is that Bulger gives them the best chance to win, right now. There's no doubt in my mind that Warner could just as easily do what Bulger does with the same game plan and play calling.

You will never see Bulger throw it 45 + times in a game. One thing that gets overlooked by most people when wondering WTF went wrong with Warner, is the toughness of the defenses he faced compared to the ones that Bulger faced. I do believe that Bulger brings a stronger arm and a little mobility that Warner has never had, but Martz baically left Warner out to dry with his play calling behind an offensive line that, last year sucked, and the first game this year, hadn't played more than 1 quarter together in the preseason.

If you can afford to hold on to Warner, do it. If he does get the chance to play later this season ,just look at the teams the Rams face in the last six games...fantasy dynamite.

As far as the rookie WRs, I really think Kevin Curtis is just slightly more valuable, when he comes back, then McDonald. The coaches raved about him in training camp and can't wait to get him back on the field.

Thanks for the update Paul.  I agree with you about what's happened to Warner, and I (along with millions of people) think that Martz is an idiot.

As for me, I can only have 2 QBs on my roster, and my other QB is the ailing Brady.  If I have to drop Warner, I will pick up one of Blake, Carter or Vinny, who are the highest scoring free agents.   Looking at all the other rosters, the only way one of those will not be available will be if one of the underachieving QBs such as Gannon, T. Green or Brooks gets dropped.  I'm probably in an ok situation until then.  The only other possibility is that the Culpepper owner has Vick as his backup, and he has not made a move yet.  He'll either take the goose-egg from C-Pep, or drop Vick for a backup.    I'll try and wait as long as I can to drop Warner, but if Brady struggles, and one of the free agent QBs play well in the next week or so, I may have to make a switch.

In any case, thanks for the comments.
