When do we start thinking of picking up Jimmy smith? Do we ever think of Smith? I think he is able to return after week 4. The Jags fan site says they spect him back Monday.

My money league is an autodraft and Jimmy Smith was dropped from another owner's roster before the season even started. I grabbed him then and have been hiding him on my bench each week.
I'll definitely be starting him next week (only because I have no choice, two of my starters have byes) but I feel pretty good about it because he will be healthy and the definite #1 WR on a team that desperately needs one.
It looks like Leftwich is starting this weekend, so that may continue as well and Leftwich has shown NFL ability in his limited action so far.
Considering the number of weak receivers many people have on their rosters (Eddie Kennison, Tai Streets, Travis Taylor), I think Smith is definitely worth grabbing. I'm going to take an attitude of "show me Smith can't produce" instead of waiting to see how he does before thinking about getting/starting him.

Very good point!
However, I feel in most money leagues people probably took a chance and have had him on their roster for the whole 3 weeks. Feeling that their are a lot of weaker receivers. 12 games of J. Smith is better than 16 games for the people you named.

I may not be correct very often..........but I am always willing to give an opinion.

I've still got him on my bench, so he better turn out to be worth something. I swear he's always the most underrated player in every draft. We'll see this year though.
