Lineup Help for this week

OK guys........there were many transactions this week in my league.  My roster now stands at:

Roster positions are fixed i.e. cannot have 3 QBs, more than 5 RBs, more than 2 D/ST etc.

Brady
Warner
Portis
J. Lewis (bye)
Hambrick
Moe Williams
Mike Anderson
Burress
C. Johnson
Mason
Bryant Johnson
Schroeder
Conwell
Dallas Clark
Akers
J. Brown
Indy D
Seattle D

I need to start 1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1RB/WR, 1TE, 1K, 1D/ST

Scoring is 1 point per 10 yds rush/rec, 1 point per reception, 1 point per 15 yards passed, 6 points per TD, + bonus of 1-5 pointd for length of TD, plus 3 point bonus at 100 yds rush/rec or 300 yds passed.  Scoring for D/ST is 6 per TD, 3 per blocked FG/PAT/Punt, 3 per int, 2 per fumble, and 1 per sack, as well as 0-10 points based on yards allowed, and 0-10 points per points allowed.

Transactions cost $2 each

For this week, I am thinking of dropping Warner (finally), and looking to pick up someone else since Brady has a tough matchup.  Should I

a) Get Frerotte for this week, and dump him next week
b) Get one of the following for the rest of the season?

Available are...... Kitna, Q. Carter, Brees, Harrington, Leftwich, Couch/Holcombe, Fiedler, Carr.

I usually don't need superstar points from my QB......200 yards and a score or 2 are usually adequate, so consistency is valued.

Other considerations for this week are:

Conwell or Dallas Clark at TE?
Indy or Seattle at D/ST?
Moe or Bryant Johnson at RB/WR?

I already have an idea of who to pick out of the 3 above, but QB is a tough one for me.

Thanks for any suggestions.  This board is great in that the guys here give their reasoning behind their choices, not just a one-word answer, and that is even more valuable.

I think I'd pick up Kitna for Warner.

I'd also go with the SEattle D vs the Packers, and CLark at TE vs the Bucs

Dump Warner and grab Kitna, as BW stated.  He has thrown the ball well, consistently.  His running game is injured/inexperienced, so he'll be looking at his impressive receiving corps more over the next few games.  Frerotte will NOT put up the same type of numbers he did last week, even though he might have a nice game.  But, as you say, you'll have to drop him following the game because Culpepper will get the next start.  Kitna is not being threatened by Palmer at this point, so put him behind Brady for now.  (Jay Fiedler is not a bad choice either.  He is not flashy, but is consistent.  With Chambers emerging as a top-flight receiver, it helps Fiedler out.)

Start Conwell instead of Clark.  The Bucs defense should thoroughly confuse the rookie.  Carolina defense is good, but Conwell has seen it before and is a veteran.

Start the Seahawks defense.  The Packers turn the ball over quite a bit.  The Seahawks may not shut the Pack down, but they'll pick up some points for picks and sacks.

Go with Moe Williams at RB.  He'll still get enough carries (even in a RBBC) against an Atlanta team that has trouble defensively.

I would go with what Philly suggests.  EXCEPT, I have a problem with this recommendation from both Phil and BW regarding getting Kitna.  I guess he probably is the "better" bet in the long run as you suggest your picking him up would be for.  But, I really don't like him this week AT ALL and actually I wouldn't be too confident about his future either.  I also am not crazy about Frerotte this week, either, actually, though.  For this week I REALLY like Carter the most of the ones you mention AND for down the road, actually, as well.  So, I would advise dropping Warner for Carter, not Kitna OR Frerotte.

I think the last time you asked about your roster, I recommended grabbing Carter.  But now that Brady is hurting a little bit, I think you need someone more consistent.

Carter will definitely give you the big game now and then (and most likely this weekend), as will Harrington, Couch/Holcomb, and Leftwich, but all of them will also be incredibly inconsistent and unreliable.  If you're looking for consistency, then go with Kitna or Fiedler.  If you're looking for that big week now and then, Carter could be your guy.
