Time to trad Dante Hall?

Hope this topic hasn't been played, I'm too lazy to search for it.

Anyway, we get return yds, so DHall scored me 23 last week, and 13 the week before.   I doubt he'll see more than 1-2 opportunities each game from here on out.

I'm thinking of trading him for an RB (I have Pittman, Deuce, Dillon & OSmith) or WR (I have Stallworth, Moulds, JSmith, Drew Bennett & Dante Hall).

We also get 1 pt / rec, so a good possession receiver can be good for 8-10 every week too, so I'm looking at a Reggie Wayne/HinesWard/Toomer type player.

what do you think?  stick with Hall and hope he continues his torrid pace?  Or trade him at the top of his value?

GO VIKES!

Well, generally speaking, according to John Madden, Hall will NOT keep this up much longer.  Madden, in essence said, that he may get the occasional touchdown return from here on out, but don't expect one every week or even every other week.  He's probably right.  That having been said, Hall still is somewhat of a factor as a reciever.

Bottom line, though, if you can get Ward or Toomer, as you state above, for him, DO IT LIKE YESTERDAY, dude!  As for a Reggie Wayne, I might actually hold on to Hall for another couple weeks before doing that.  As for a running back, I would say the BEST you could expect to get for him would be one the caliber of an Eddie George or Anthony Thomas, which would be good,... but if you have dudes willing to give up Ward or Toomer for him, anything is possible.

Good luck, at any rate!

The only reason I have my expectations set so high on a player I'd receive back is the return yardage we get.  Let's take a look at his value in my league: (I get 1pt / 20 yds on return ydg)

Currently avging 2.5 punt returns @ 21.6 yds/ret and 3 KO returns @ 32.7 yds/ ret  totalling 152+ yds/gm.  That's 7 pts in my league; however, he's not scored less than 9 in any week due to his use as a WR and RB too.

Even if avg drops off to 2 punts/gm @ 15-20 yds + 2 kickoffs @ 20-25/gm, will total 4 pts.  Add in any WR/RB pts and he'll probably be at 7-8.  This is worse-case scenario, and I think I can sell my tradee that it will be significantly better, as Hall is scored 36 pts in my league in the last 2 weeks alone.

We get 1 pt / reception, so WR have a bit more premium in this league, and the aforementioned WRs should be able to equal the 7-10 avg.

Thoughts?

OK, I need to bump this thread because I'm close to talking some schmuck (sp  ) into dealing LT2 for Dante.

LT2 has been a huge dissapointment, but hey, he's still LT2!  Boston is back, and SD schedule seems a bit easier over the next few weeks.  They seem to alternate between good and bad matchups each week.

Pull the trigger?

If you get LT2 for Dante Hall, Cap, the other guy is a fool!! I'd feel bad making a trade like that!

Is there a trade vote in your league? If there is, I'd bet that this trade would be vetoed...but I don't know

You mean you need our advice on this one, cp?

Anyway, though, I echo all that BW stated.  Is this guy an absolute moron... or your 2-year-old daughter, or a balloon with a face drawn on it?

There must be more to this deal.  Like you get a point for every return yard or maybe you .

Sorry had to be said.

At least read the thread completely.  If I got 1 pt/ret yd, why would I deal him for LT2?

BTW, the deal fell through, the guy came to his senses!

That was my point exactly.
Sarcasim.

I also meant 1 point every yard.
