New York Giants Week 6 Analysis

After last week's dissapointing, sloppy loss, the Giants look to rebound against the New England Patriots.

Quarterback:

Collins has been steady but unspectacular so far this season. He has yet to take advantage of all of the weapons at his disposal. Last week, Shockey was Kerry's favorite target. The Giants need to get Toomer and Barber more involved in the passing game. Hilliard seems to be getting the most of his productivity as the slot receiver. The Patriots are banged up on defense, but did pretty well in the preseason against the G-Men, putting alot of pressure on the quarterback. Hopefully, the offensive line can protect Collins.

Collins: 275 yards, 2 td, 1 int

Runningback:

Tiki has a serious case of the fumbles this season. He has fumbled several times already this season. He has every carry but one for the Giants so far. Maybe the Giants need to spell him more often during games to keep him fresher. Levens has ZERO carries, and Joyce one. It's time to give Tiki a breather every now and then.

Barber: 85 yards rushing, 50 yards receiving, 1 td
Levens: gets his first carries of the season for 35 yards
Joyce: 20 yards rushing

Wideouts
It's time for all three of the Giants main receivers to step up and have good games at the same time. ALl three have big game potential, as we have seen already this year. Toomer needs to step it up. Shockey was the man last week, and Hilliard has already had a two touchdown game. Now, it's Amani's turn.

Toomer: 110 yards, 2 tds
Hilliard: 65 yards
Shockey: 50 yards

Kicker:
The Giants signed Bret Conway this week for the injurted Matt Bryant.

Conway:
3/3 xp, 2/2 fgs

Defense:
The Giants D played well last week, holding Ricky Williams to 39 yards, and Jay fiedler to under 200. They were fooled on the end around by James McKnight for the long touchdown. Will Tom Brady still ailing, and the Patriot running game dismal at best, the G-Men Defense is worth starting.

FINAL SCORE: Giants 27, Patriots 17
