Week 7 Help

I find myself coming here once again to ask for help with my lineup......I really like this site because people take the time to explain the reasoning behind their advice, and that is much apprecaited.

This week I have a couple of dilemmas.

At RB, I have to choose between Hambrick and Moe Williams.  I point per reception favors Moe, but I am a little worried that O. Smith will be getting more and more work.  Of course, Hambrick's situation isn't much better, since his ypg haven't been stellar, and Detroit's run D isn't too bad (from what I hear).  Denver's run D has been excellent thus far too, but Gold is out for the season, and Minny has a balanced offense.

At QB, since Brady is playing vs the Dolphins in Miami, I am not sure about his matchup.  I am thinking about a free agent pickup for this week (dropping Warner).  Q. Carter, Couch, Testaverde and Brees have the best matchups (Kitna, Carr also available).

Finally, I will be dropping "sure hands" Schroeder, and I like Burleson off the waiver wire.  Others available are Conway, S. Smith, Q. Morgan, C. Bradford and Kennison.  Burleson has been consistent for the last 2 games, while everyone else has had one good game, and has been poor for the rest.  This is for my #5 WR, after C. Johnson, Mason, Burress and McCardell.

Thanks guys for all your great advice, not only for this week, but for prior weeks too!!!

I would with Williams at running back.  I'm just not high on Hambrick at this point, and I am more confident that the Denver-Minnesota game will be more highish scoring than the Dallas-Detroit game, but that is a close call, I suppose.  I just like Williams more and would not be worried about his losing carries to Smith.  That's been being said since like Week 1 and it still hasn't happened and I don't see its happening now on the heels of Bennett's return.

At QB, I would go with Brees.  To see my reasoning on that, visit:

And, personally, regarding your free-agent pick-up, I like Steve Smith the most of that group.  He exhibits the best combination of youth and "provenness" of that group.  Also, Carolina's schedule is VERY favorable over the next three weeks, expecially to air it out 1) because of the teams they play, Tennessee, New Orleans and Houston, 2) because Davis is nicked up and Foster still has to be considered fragile and 3) because I think they'd like to "establish" a better pass game so as to get teams to back off their rushing game a bit coming down the stretch and now, given aforementioned points 1 and 2, would be the time to give it a whack.

I hope that helps!

Steve Smith is a great pick up! I got him 2 weeks ago and started him last week with good results.

As for the QB situation, Brees seems to be the best option here too. I hope Boston can play and contribute, that would help.
