Here's the current read on "The REAL Feed": Packers QB Favre held out of practice NFL.com (27.10.2003 22:11) Brett Favre and his broken right thumb were given a rest during practice Oct. 27, but Favre is expected to be cleared to throw by Oct. 29. Here's what the Packers' official web site, available on "the Gridiron Newsstand", reports: http://www.packers.com/news/stories/2003/10/27/1/. Knowing Favre, he will play heck-or-high-water. But, we all know the havoc thumb injuries can wreak on quarterbacks(' careers).
