Whats up with Plaxico Burress?  He has done next to nothing for 5 weeks in a row.  1 catch for 6 yards is all he can throw up this week  You have got to be kidding me

I think it might be time to   his ass.

It is to the pioint where you can't even start him anymore.

Plax is not a possesion type reciever. He is needs to get down the field to be effective. The steelers do not hold their blocks long enough for him to get down field. Look for Marvel Smith to get back into the starting line up soon. He's the Steelers starting left tackle who's been out for 5 1/2 games with a pinched nerve in his back.
when he's healthy it will allow players on the o line to move back to their normal spots.  The Steelers are thin on the o line as it is.
Right now the Steelers cant pass protect or run the football. Teams sit back in a cover two defence, and dare Maddox to throw it. Most times it results in a sack or a pick.
When Smith is healthy it will help Steeler fans and steeler player fantasy owners.

Burress also feels he's getting open, but ignored.  What do you think of that, steelkings?  For real.  You sound like you're a back home guy from Western PA!  That's where I grew up.  Really wonder what you think.

He's right, but its just hard to get him the ball when Maddox is on his back. This o line issue should have been addressed in the off season but it wasnt. Its clear that this is Cowers fault. He's in charge of the personel in Pittsburgh. If you go back to the off season you will find that Wayne Gandy said this would happen. Cower treated it like sour grapes from someone released. Well someones gonna swing for this season in Pittsburgh. This is the first time I have felt cowers job is in jepardy.
