1st Time Ever KICKER QUESTION?
« on: Nov 3rd, 2003, 10:42am »
Quote Quote Modify Modify

Here is my problem I'm afraid at putting a too many eggs in one basket. On my team I have Bulger, Holt, and Wilkins. Do you guys believe that is too many players from one team? G. Anderson is still avail. He is kicking just as well as Wilkins right now maybe better. I will make the playoffs in this league(unless a disaster happens). So I'm looking ahead to those weeks.

G. Anderson-IND,BUF,@HOU

J.Wilkins-@CLE(MNF),SEA,CIN(a favorable schedule)

I don't think CLE,SEA,CIN are going to stop the Rams but stranger things have happened. With Anderson I have some diversity and at least 33% of my lineup will not come from the same offense.

My $$$ league and bragging rights(very important) league. All opinions appreciated, Thanks

I wouldn't worry about which team your kicker comes from.  Both Wilkins and Anderson should get the XP opportunities as the Rams (yesterday excluded) and the Titans can score.

I think you might be overthinking this one.  The only thing I'd consider would be if you get bonus points for longer field goals.  If so, I'd stick with Wilkins because he has a longer leg.

I think we should start a permanent thread for kickers.  Only kiddin

Kickers are not worth the headache in FF.  In the NFL they are just ask the FortyWhiners.

Good to follow the advice on this one, Mossman.  I would totally echo Philly's sentiment here.

Good luck!

You have to go with Philly's advice Mossaholic. I,ve seen alot of Philly's responces here and he knows his stuff. He's like EFHutton, when he speaks you should stop and listen.   ( I may have dated myself with that old advertizing reference)

Thanks for the kind words.  I'm not sure I'm that good though.

I remember those old EF Hutton commercials.  However, I was partial to that gravelly voiced guy in the Smith Barney commercials, but I can't remember his name.  "Smith Barney.  They make money the old fashioned way, they e-e-e-a-a-rn it."
