Currently he's listed as questionable for the ankle. But they're playing it close to the vest. OH, BIG SURPRISE THIS YEAR FOR ALL SORTS OF TEAMS. But seriously, I really hate doing all those capital letters. The bottom line is that they're not telling. But they're playing TB! I'd wonder about that all by itself! I own Davis in one league, and I'm seriously considering sitting him for one week. Maybe they'll play him unless it's a game-winner need. If they don't stand a chance or if they get ahead, I think they'll rest him for days to come. Otherwise, it's a worse injury than reported. I'll watch my other options and their match-ups and decide by Friday or Saturday. But bottom line..if you have Davis and you're worried about the last third of the season, what do you do? I say rest him unless you have no other choice. So. What are your other options? And what's your league's scoring system?

QB - McNair, Brady and Hasselbeck RB - S. Davis, McAllister, Pittman, Foster will pick up Jackson. WR - Harrison, Toomer, Mason, Warrick, Streets and Calico Start 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 2Flex 1pt per 10yards rush, 1pt per catch, 1pt per 10yards, 6pt per TD and bonus for lenght of TD I have 2 possible trades, 1) Pittman, Harrison and Hasselbeck for Holmes and A. Johnson or 2) Pittman, Streets, Calico and Hasselbeck for Bennett, T. Owens and D. Jackson what do you think?

Here's the latest on Davis that I've seen, which seems to muddy things up nicely. http://newsobserver.com/panthers/story/3003473p-2749533c.html As for the trades, I like number 2 better if I had to pick one of them. I think Bennett will come on faster and faster, Owens' ego will bring him up (and he seems to do better second half of the season, and he's in a contract year and auditioning for the whole NFL), and K-Rob is having problems. Holmes is a great lure, but what if he goes committee? Looks like the real target in this trade is Hasselbeck. I've been offered all sorts of multi-player trades for him, too. And it's always clear that getting Matt is their goal.

If Davis starts, should I start both Davis and Foster? That way I get pts in the 1st half while Davis plays and pts in the 2nd half when Davis sits. RB - S. Davis, McAllister(bye), Pittman, Foster WR - Harrison, Toomer, Mason, Streets(bye), Warrick, Calico Start - 2 RB, 2 WR, 2 flex

WRs - Harrison and Toomer definately, should have great match ups. RB - Pittman depends on if you have yards or points for TDs in your league. He has a tough CAR front 7, but he'll get carries and passes. For Pittman, TDs are sometimes there, sometimes not. Otherwise, Mason faces a CB who can be beaten setting up the deep pass. McNair likes that. Mason could have a big play or two. But no guarantee. Calico is a great big play guy against a secondary that can be beaten. And Calico has the size advantage. Again, no guarantee. Warrick is facing a lousey secondary, and they may key on Johnson. Warrick is another big play guy. So...the RB situation is a mess for you. That game time decision stuff is a crappy mess for FF players this season. I like CAR against TB for the run. Watch if they say more. I doubt they will. I think Foster is a good start. I don't know if Davis will play or not. Bottom line, if it were my team, I'd just start Foster and Pittman unless TDs count for a lot in your league. Maybe I'd do it if they don't. And I'd throw any swing position to the WRs. I'd love to hear more from the forum, because I have Davis in one of my leagues, too!
