New York Giants Week 10 Analysis
« on: Nov 7th, 2003, 2:34am »
Quote Quote Modify Modify

The surging Giants come home (after that long road game vs. the Jets last week) to take on the 1-7 Falcons, owner of the NFL's 32nd ranked defense. The Falcons seem lost, ever since the injury to Michael Vick. Expect the Giants to come through in a big way.

QB:
Kerry Collins has thrown for almost 700 yards and four touchdowns in the past two weeks. Now facing off against a pourous Falcons' defense,  expect over 300 yards and 3 touchdowns:

Collins: 325 yards, 3 td's, 1 int

RB:
Barber has averaged 75 yards per game the last 5 weeks. This Sunday, he'll bust out against the Falcons' defense, going over 100 yards.

Barber: 125 yards rushing, 1 td, 40 yards receiving, 1 td

WR/TE:
The big three have been coming through in a big way over the last few games, and playing Atlanta this week won't change that. Look for all three to continue to play well.

Toomer: 120 yards, 1 td
Hilliard: 80 yards
Shockey: 60 yards, 1 td
Jones: 25 yards

K:
The Giants offense has performed well in the last two games, and Conway has posted 11 points in each contest. He's a good play against a poor Falcons' defense this week.

Conway:
4 xp, 2 fg

Final score: Giants 34, Falcons 17

Last week I was cringing while Levens scored from 1 yrd out. Will he stay clear of Barbers TD's this week?

Nice job BW!

This should be a good barometer week on where Fassel has this team.  Big game vs MIN, then they got up for the surging Jets (though they didn't dominate).  Will they let down vs ATL?

If they cruise in this one, I'll believe the tagline on your avatar!

Based on our predictions, the Eagles and the Giants will be tied at 5-4 after the weekend, probably a game behind the Cowboys, 6-3 after their loss to Buffalo.

This is the perfect game to look past, with the evil rival Philadelphia Eagles next week, and the defending champs, the Bucs the following week on Monday Night. I hope they mop Atlanta and send a message. Great time to do it.

I didn't think it was possible, but the Atlanta Falcons actually beat someone.  Kittner completed NINE passes... and won?

At least the Eagles can lose tonight and have sole possession of 2nd place in the NFC East.

Sorry BW, didn't mean to jinx ya.  I think my keyboard is hexed the last 3 weeks, as I've predicted Viking wins (and they really should have been wins),  but my Purple went out and laid a big one.

Now my "power" has poisoned the GMen too!

I had a feeling about this week, I predicted it in the Prognosticator thread too.

As for the Eagles, hate to throw salt in a wound but.....YEAAAAHHHH BUDDDYY!!!!   Thanks Eagles!
