Hambrick had a 2td two fumble game the week before, a wonderful fantasy performance, but questionable real football production. Now Murrell was brought in before just to light a fire under Hambricks butt and was let go. Is this the same thing going on? Or will we see Murrell grab the job? It was said that Murrell is just a thrid down change of pace back. But Cason and Anderson was already doing a decent job in this sort of role. So is Murrell's job to be a 3rd down back ? Is Murrell here again to light a fire under Hambrick or to fire Hambrick? |
| All good questions!!! I wish I had a clue. I was thinking of picking up Murrell, but why waste the roster space? Then, I thought about Cason. Same situation. This is the same reason I am staying away from the Redskins. They may start Cartwright this week. That is funny!!

This is TOTAL speculation, but I think old man Murrell has a chance of becoming the featured back there for the rest of the season. He just seems to have more "pop" than Hambrick. And, don't discount him just because he is old. Remember how Parcells revitalized old man Otis Anderson's career back with the Giants. He pitched two solid seasons there if my memory serves me correctly. All of that having been said, for keeper leaguers, I do have to admit that I think they will look elsewhere, trade, draft, free-agency, for a running back for '04. BOTTOM LINE, none of this is good news for Hambrick or Hambrick owners.
