Pennington or Manning ?

Who should i go with this week?
Manning is the man but how does he do without Harrison? The Jets finally have a healthy secondary this week, plus I can see the Colts trying to run the ball right down the Jets throat all day.
I've got the stats I just can't make up my mind.

Jets D- Avg. Passing Allowed (172.6 ypg) 7TD 3rd NFL
Colts D- Avg. Passing Allowed (185.2 ypg) 10TD 8th NFL

And just a quicky-Rudi or D.Davis
We get 1pt per recpt so I'm thinking Davis.

Thanks for the help !

I would go with Davis over Rudi.  I think Cincy is going to come up a little flat this week against KC.  Yes, I don't believe the guarantee.  I actually think it will hurt them.  Davis, on the other hand, has a nice matchup against Buffalo.

As for your quarterbacks, what's your other option?  Yes, I think Manning is a bit dubious of a play this week, but you never presented your other option(s).

No, goody, that's TOTALLY on me.  I forgot the subject while reading the post.  Sorry, bro!

Anyway, yes, I would lean toward Pennington given all the injuries to the Indy receivers (Harrison and Pollard, hell, I think Clark is going to have the "big" day there, which inherently speaks volumes about the day I think Manning is probably lookin' at).

Again, sorry, my bad!

I still think Manning is a good enough QB to succeed without Harrison.  Look for the Colts to bounce back after an embarrassing loss last week.  Pennington should do well, so don't feel bad if you ignore my choice, but I think I still start my stud.

At RB, I'd wait to see if DDavis is really healthy enough to play.  If he isn't, look for Stacey Mack to steal some carries and TD opps.  Rudi is healthy (and carried the ball 43 times last week!) although I think the Bengals may be passing a lot more this week than last.  If DDavis is ready to go, start him.

QB - Both Pennington and Manning are facing injured Ds, but the Jets' D is in bigger trouble.  Manning has more poise, Pennington has more fire.  Both are going to have to put points on the board to keep up.  I honestly think it's a wash and an "Any Given Sunday" thing.  I'd go with my gut.

D. Davis - The Bills haven't been so bad against the run at home.  Davis is a big play guy, though.  What's the weather would be my question.  Davis should have a day, but not a great day.  And watch out for Murrell.

Rudi - The Chiefs have shown us that a power RB can run on them.  The real question is if Cincy has to go to the pass to stay in the game.

If I have to pick (and in two of my leagues I do, because I have them both), I go with Rudi.  Just another gut thing.

And watch the weather!  It's that time of year!

Hey, Steg.  Got any smileys for the gut thing?   Or the weather?

As for the weather, Call, we have a couple "creative" options...

As for the gut thing, I don't know... it's stretching the idea, but, perhaps,

...

Of course, if you were to come across something, you are more than welcome to suggest it to me on the "Great Smiley Project" thread.
