week 12: who to start?

start 2 from: S.Alexander, J.Lewis, Rudi Johnson, Moe Williams

start 2 from: R.Smith, J.Smith, K.Robinson, D.Boston, A.Boldin, E.Moulds

need help!  I'm thinking of going with Rudi and Moe, but the news of Dillon stealing carries worries me. Then Jimmy and Boldin at WR, but maybe Rod should be in there?

How many teams do you have in your league?  That is a good stable of RB's.

Always start your studs.  Go with:

Alexander and Lewis

Rod and Jimmy Smith

Thanks

Thanks Monk. 8-team league, so my roster is nothing special. The team I'm playing this week has Portis, Duece, Bulger and Harrison, which is why I'm really looking for guys who may have big games.

I usually do stick with the 'start your studs', but in the last month, Rudi and Moe have been the studs...with Shaun going against a tough run D, who hasn't allowed a rushing TD at home all season, I'm very tempted to bench him.

I would go with what t.f.m. suggests EXCEPT I would actually go with Rudi or Moe in that order over Alexander.  I base that on the matchups:  Baltimore's run defense is just that good and San Diego and Detroit are just that bad.

Also, regarding Rudi specifically, though they say that they are going to work Dillon back in, I'll believe it when I see it.  Didn't they say that 2 or 3 weeks ago and he ended up with like 7 rushes for 5 yards?  I don't think he gets anything significant unless Rudi were to go down with an injury.  He's a lame duck in Cincy and will be treated as such on his way out.

Regarding ranking Rudi over Moe, that's because I have a feeling that this week may be the week they finally increase Bennett's touches dramatically.  Also, Moe has been a good overall play as of late, but not a particularly good rusher.  You can consider or dismiss that thought according to whether or not it matters in your system.

Good luck! And, WELCOME to "the Gridiron", friend! I hope you find the place as enjoyable as the rest of us!

RB:
Lewis
Rudi
Alexander
Williams

WR:
J Smith
Boldin
R Smith
Robinson
Boston
Moulds

In that order.

Lewis never sits.  Period.  Alexander has a tough matchup, while Rudi has been toting it well and has SD this week.  He won't be sharing too many carries with Dillon, so go with him.

Jimmy Smith is the best option on Jax now that Fred Taylor is hurting.  Kevin Johnson will be making his first appearance as a Jag and will warrant at least some defensive attention, so Smith could benefit.  Boldin should get plenty of catches in what could be an offensive display from both teams.  Rod Smith is good, but just doesn't have that big-game potential any more.

ok, just read that Dillon will start over Rudi...this is too much of a risk for me given my other options, don't ya'll think?

So now it looks like Lewis and Moe or Shaun...
so who do ya'll like between Moe and Shaun?

Against BAL, teams have had their best success running it down their throats.  BUT...the Ravens know that.  They also know that the Hawks need to do that.  They may stack the box.

The Vikes will probably pass all day against DET.  But Moe may get the goal line stuff.  I've been wondering about that myself when considering Bennett.

Between the two, I'd fear the Baltimore D at home and play Moe at home against the Lions.

Still don't know about Rudi this week....
J.Lewis is a power back.  Seattle doesn't do well against that.  I think Lewis will have a great game.
