Brunell to the Redskins?

As a Ramsey owner, I am a little bummed about this rumor. I was hoping he'd bounce back from his foot injury and impress Gibbs and be the starter.

I didn't think Ramsey played that poorly last year.  His offensive line didn't help him at all and the lack of a legitimate running game put an even bigger target on him.  I personally think the Skins should use their second round pick on an O-lineman or a RB to help Ramsey (who is the Skins future) instead of on Brunell (whose tank is running close to empty).

No longer a question mark!  It's a DONE DEAL as of last night!  Here is the local report from "the Gridiron Newsstand":

http://www.washtimes.com/sports/20040220-123003-4301r.htm.

According to the report, he has been brought in to be the starter!  Sucks for Ramsey keeper-league owners; GREAT, or should I say dumb luck, for keeper leaguers who happen to have Brunell on their rosters.

I read this yesterday. Gibbs likes the VET QB, and wins with them. The only guys he grromed was Rypien. Too bad for Ramsey owners. So goes the world of Skins fans. Maybe Brunell is there to mentor Ramsey, who knows???
Either way, I still don't like Brunell from a fantasy standpoint.
Congrats to all the keeper owners that dealt Ramsey away as soon as Spurrier left. Good move!!

I wouldn't feel bad for Ramsey owners.  Odds are he will get traded.  I don't care what anyone says about him being QB of the future.

What I see in my crystal ball is this.  Redskins trade Ramsey and Bailey, loading up on draft picks.  In turn, they trade these picks away for resticted free agents.

For starters Gibbs doesn't operate like that. He trades down, then down again, then down again and gets 15 pickcs in the draft. Takes all these guyas and weeds through the JUNK and keeps the good one. Sprinkle in a few vets and thsi all =SB baby.

This rule worked so well for them last year. I see the 1st option as a better choice, based on Gibbs' history.

Washington Post had an article today saying that Ramsey will try to be traded.  Why? MONEY.  IF Ramsey does not play in 50% of the plays, he only gets a base salary of $600,000.  If he plays in MORE than 50%, he gets 2.5 million.  BIG DIFFERENCE.  With a friendly cap number like $600,000, hard to imagine that he will be traded.  This is going to be an interesting offseason for the SKins.
