With Garner to TB and Duce to PITT, where does that leave the other 2? Here are the 2 UFA RBs left. The talent has fallen. NE, DET and DALLAS are still looking to improve. Hearst is the best UFA RB out there. He still has some gas in the tank, but age is catching him quickly. He could go to Dallas, DET or NE. He may go back to SF for minimum wage. they could sign him for $660,000, but only count $450,000. A very good price for a backup that knows the system. DET is the best fit. Antowain Smith is next I guess by default, rumors say he will resign with NE for peanuts. He may fit Dallas better, but is not better than Hambrick. Either way, he is #2 until Amos gets released. I guess, still not much to talk about until he gets signed by someone. In NE he will get extra $ for playoff games and maybe another SB. Dillon is still with the Bengals and can be had for a 4th or 5th I'm guessing. Lamont Jordan is another guy who could be had for a reasonable draft pick. What do you guys think?

Another team possibly still looking to improve its running back corps is the Denver Broncos, and I am not saying this just because of my messed-up trade in the GBRFL with Doug, but Jamel White is also worth considering in all this. I actually think, of the RB's mentioned, that he would be the best fit there. Of course, he may not be perceived to be any better than what they have: Mike Anderson, Quentin Griffin and that other dude. I still think Hearst somehow ends up in Detroit, which would, by the way, be the second-best fit for Jamel. Antowain, I have no clue about. I think he ends up somewhere as a backup, maybe, very late in the offseason, with teams like Tampa Bay or Dallas, who could use some bodies. Either that or his insurance-sales career begins to take flight. No, Troy Hambrick is not really worth considering. He'll either, against all odds, end up staying in Dallas, probably behind someone else, but if you believe in miracles, maybe still as the starter.
