Someone will probably step up and he will be undervalued. The question is, who? My money is on Dyson (as long as he is healthy). He has performed in the past and has more talent than the others IMO. |
| Fine point made bgsg, and I hope your right! I like Marty and also Rivers and to boot I own LT2 in my Insane league so, I wish nothing but the best for SD and their whole team in general including their wideouts. Dyson definitely has a great chance of breaking out as you said if health doesn't get in the way though, those secondaries are starting to build up quite a bit in that division so,.......(except KCs however, they are hoping their improved pass rush helps their 2ndary this season) it shall be interesting to see if Rivers starts, if he is successful when/if he does start and also like you mentioned, which WR will take off (Don't forget about LT2 best receiver on that team IMO - comparing SD's wideouts to Arizona's WRs of last year isn't quite the same comparison since Ariz didn't have LT2 to throw to............just a thought).

Steg, I have a friend whose a huge NC State 'Wolfpack' fan. In fact, he even has a designated 'Wolfpack' room in his house, with like a NC State Wolfpack pinball game and custom wallpaper and everything (which is where he sleeps when he has a fight with the wife). Anyhoo, he goes to all the games and has of course seen Torry Holt and Koren Robinson and Phillip Rivers first hand throughout their college careers, so I was asking him about Phillip Rivers yesterday, and he gave me his personal scouting report: Very accurate and instinctive passer, moderately slow footed, above average arm strength, great size, toughness and leadership. Take that for what it's worth, but I think Mr. Rivers has sealed his fate for this season with the holdout unless the Chargers drop to 0-10 and we get a preview for next season. By the way, he did have very complimentary things to say about Jerricho Cotchery, the Jets 4th round pick. Evidently he has the potential to be very productive possession-type receiver, not real fast but big with a great work ethic. JYJ :^)

| Not that it belongs here, but since it is here... Cotchery has had a very impressive training camp so far according to coaches and media types. He'll be the replacement for Chrebet when he's done, although I don't know how much fantasy value he'll have sitting behind SMoss and McCareins.
