WINDOWS 2004 - New Orleans Saints

No, this isn't a new Microsoft operating system release.  This is your opportunity to share your statistical "windows" for players on each of the NFL teams.  Our fearless leader, StegRock, refers to these statistical ranges as "windows" and, to show due deference, I will continue that modus operandi.

Every few days as we lead up to the regular season, I'll post a new team.  Put your estimated 2004 statistics for players on that team in the thread.  If enough people participate, these threads should produce some pretty helpful information for player rankings leading up to your drafts.

Feel free to give windows for as many players as you feel confident.  If you play IDP, go ahead and include some defensive player statistics as well.  You can just list the player with the windows or you can give reasons for your rankings as well.  Discussions of others' rankings are welcome too.

Be sure to scroll down the list and find the Windows for other teams and contribute there as well!

QB
Aaron Brooks: 3750-4000 PaYds, 25-29 TDs, 14-15 INTs, 175-275 RuYds, 0-1 TDs
Brooks should have a very nice fantasy season and is undervalued in many fantasy drafts.

RBs
Deuce McAllister: 1400-1500 RuYds, 9-10 TDs, 350-450 ReYds, 2-3 TDs
Aaron Stecker/Lamar Smith: 250-350 RuYds, 1-2 TDs
McAllister is a solid RB who can handle the wear and tear of 300+ carries, however he doesn't score enough to warrant a top four FF draft pick.

WRs
Joe Horn: 900-1100 ReYds, 8-10 TDs
Donte Stallworth: 800-1000 ReYds, 5-6 TDs
Devery Henderson: 500-600 ReYds, 2-3 TDs
Jerome Pathon: 200-250 ReYds, 0-2 TDs
Horn is still the #1, but will be gone following this season.  Look for the Saints to start using the younger receivers a bit more this season.  Stallworth should be a very good #3 FF WR.

TE
Boo Williams: 500-700 ReYds, 6-8 TDs
This should be the year he climbs into the top tier along with Gonzo, Heap, and Shockey.

QB
Aaron Brooks (who, by the way, I think is a serious candidate to get benched this year if the Saints do not come out of the gate well; he may be good fantasy-wise, but I don't think he has what it takes NFL-wise and fact is NFL-wise predicates fantasy-wise.)/Todd Bouman - 3500 - 3800 yards, 23 - 25 touchdowns passing

RB
Deuce McAllister (the one sure thing on this once highly touted offense) - 1500 - 1750 yards, 9 - 12 touchdowns receiving & 500 - 750 yards, 2 - 4 touchdowns receiving

WR
Joe Horn - 1100 - 1350 yards, 9 - 12 touchdowns receiving
Daunte Stallworth - 600 - 800 yards, 4 - 7 touchdowns receiving

TE
Boo Williams - 500 - 700 yards, 5 - 8 touchdowns receiving

well the comment on benching brooks was interesting - but - from talking to locals - don't see it happening...although i like boumann alot - very favre-esque mechanics (and velocity) - but the team is SOLD on brooks & he's the guy barring injury...

We'll see if they open up the season 2 and 6...  Every "hired gun" is "the guy" until, well, he's "not the guy".

I think you'll find that Jim Haslett, and not Aaron Brooks, is the guy under the gun for what happens on the field this year.

Again, we'll see in due time who suffers the wrath,... that is if there even is any wrath to suffer...

And, in any event, Jim Haslett isn't really a fantasy factor.  Brooks is and so is worth speculating about.
