Chiefs Offseason Report

Get this!  Like Ricky Williams (but hopefully for different reasons ), PRIEST HOLMES CONSIDERED RETIREMENT THIS OFFSEASON and says that a chance to get a Super Bowl ring is really all that pushes him to come back. The report is from NFL.com available on "the Gridiron Newsstand":

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/7542093.

This is DEFINITELY something for keeper-leaguers to keep in the back of their heads!

...

In other news, WR Johnnie Morton sustained an achilles injury that could put him out for a LONG time.  Also, from "the Gridiron Newsstand":

http://www.kansascity.com/mld/kansascity/sports/football/nfl/kansas_city _chiefs/9313495.htm.

This perhaps bump Eddie Kennison up a notch!  Also, get the rest of their WR's on your radar! What the hell, it is a St. Louis-style offense!

In some other news, on the defensive side of the ball, MLB Mike Maslowski's bad left knee is kicking back up again and causing him to lose practice time.  The team is becoming increasingly concerned as each day passes.  Here's a LOCAL report from "the Gridiron Newsstand":

http://examiner.net/stories/080504/chi_080504002.shtml.

Though the Chiefs defense is not really worth considering for team-defense leagues, this should definitely show up on the radar for IDP-leaguers who once saw Maslowski as an up-and-comer.

Great catch here Steg as I definitely had Maslow on my radar as an IDP'er. And was concerned about his ability to stay healthy.
Thanks!

Boerigter sprained his right knee and was carted off the field in pain.  No more info yet.

MRI today for Boerigter.  Possible the injury will end his season.

This is bigger than it might appear based on Boerigter's 2003 season.  He had pretty much worked his way back into the starting lineup ahead of Morton (injured and underachieving) and possibly even Dante Hall.

Dante Hall is a very nice sleeper, especially if you get return yds.
