WOW....  I am really surprised Levens was cut.  They signed him and then cut him.  Unusual.  I guess they were happy with Mahe.  They also cut McCoo.

The Eagles also released their best special team player from last year, Sean Money.

Couch unfortunately was a disaster!  What a waste!  The good news for him is that he gets to keep the  $625,000 signing bonus.

If people here have been paying attention, I said all along that the only rookie RB whose name you need remember for the Titans is Troy Fleming.  Jarrett Payton was a bad college RB, so he had little chance to do much in the pros.

J.Payton did have a decent training camp though if you look at the numbers.........Some time in Europe will do him good.

Keep in mind that some players may come back after week one.  They were cut at this time otherwise the contracts would be guaranteed.  Not that I would go picking up Couch, Levens or anyone like that.... but don't be surprised if they re-emerge with the same teams.

I'm hearing rumors of Couch to Indianapolis... they really don't have a backup QB (Hamilton? Sauter?) and don't seem to have a need for one to step in right away...

As for Levens, he'll be re-signed by the Eagles as soon as one of their RBs gets hurt.  You nailed it when you said they didn't want to be tied to a guaranteed contract.
