| In order, I would go with 1) Davis or 2) Barlow, and even though I am not high on Barlow, they are pretty close based on Davis's being dinged up and Barlow's going up against a (likely) soft rush defense. If you, as you say, do not want to put all your eggs in the Texans basket, then, by all means, go with Barlow. That's really a close call and a personal (and acceptable) choice of style (when the players in question are of a similar caliber). I personally would lean toward Davis. "Discount" Griffin, in any case; too many mouths to feed in Denver Week 1 and Shanny's unpredictable as we all know all too well. Good luck!

I'd go Davis. If that game progresses as expected, Davis should see a lot of 2nd half carries as they eat clock with a lead. I've never been a Barlow fan, and Denver is going to get behind quickly to KC. I don't think they're offense can keep up this year.

Playing against an unproven (at least in 2004) defense that was very shaky in 2003. #2 - Dom Davis - Not completely healthy. Will lose some (not many) carries to Hollings. Has a team that will look to use its WRs quite a bit too against a shaky defensive secondary. Plus, you're already starting a Texan at QB. #3 - Quentin Griffin - Healthy, but so is Bell now, and so is Hearst. Griffin might lose some carries to both. Chiefs have a more aggressive defense under Gunther Cunningham and will certainly be looking to showcase it against a division rival. |
| If there is ONE strength to Marty's team on defense it's his secondary.

| Sure, on the Chargers defense, the secondary may be the strongest part compared to the DL and LBs, but it's still weak by NFL standards.
