By the way, here is some corroboration of the claim above from "The REAL Feed":

Saints' McAllister could miss five weeks

Aaron Stecker gets the start in Deuce's absence...

The Saints will also re-sign Ki-Jana Carter for depth.

Latest from Haslett, "With Deuce McAllister sidelined, Aaron Stecker will get the bulk of the carries for the Saints. "

That's not how I read this article.  Haslett said they will share the load, the author of the article said that Stecker will get the bulk.

I get your point, but actually all the fantasy sites I've been ratting around in on this (I own Deuce here and there due to my well known - around here - high expectations for him this year, at least preseason) are saying pretty much that Stecker will get the bulk based on whatever sources each quotes.  I can't get into the Real Feed for some reason.

That said, starting is one thing and doing well is another.  Boy am I screwed in Week 3.  The stories I could tell you about all my OTHER injured players....

Rams haven't been great against the run, but Brooks will probably pass a lot just the same, under the circumstances.

If I had to venture a guess, I'd have to say so-so on the rushing yards, but some receiving yards, too.  Together, it's at least something.  Also, I might give him a shot at a TD.  I know it's vague, but we're in vague territory here.

If I had an equal or better option, I wouldn't play Stecker.  If I played him, I'd figure some fantasy points are better than none.  I would not play Carter.  They didn't think enough of him to keep him and only brought him back out of sheer necessity.

The great Aaron Stecker......there was a time I loved this guy when he was with Wisconsin Badgers. He was there for a year, had a pretty good year and then transferred out when Brent Moss and Terrell Flecther (both very average NFL players) were there as well and his carries were going to go away.
I followed his career a little bit and he went to Europe and did ok and then got into the NFL and was just a return man for the Buccs and then just bounced around.

He has enough talent to do well behind the right line (Broncos)........my prediction would be:

17 carries   70 yards   4 catches  25 yards

good day.........not great, but good.

I hope you're right, Dog.  I'm stuck with him without a better option in one league.  Tried to fill with R. Lee, but the person one spot up from me on the waiver wire priority got him.

I figured Stecker would rush closer to 50 yds. with 25 or a few more on receiving.  How do you feel about his receptions and his yards after?

Edit:

Rams give 5.7 yd. per carry so far.  The Saints may go with Carter's power back size, may adjust during the game depending on what works, and may give Stecker the goal line stuff.  That's why I said earlier that I might at least get a TD out of him.  That's why the territory is so bad for me to figure.  I think they will give Stecker more carries as a game plan.  I do not know what will happen as the game progresses.  I still would not start Carter.  And I still do not know about Stecker's receiving yds.

He use to be a kick off and punt return specialist so you know he will be able to put up the yards after the catch.....I am more concerned about the catch part. I am stuck with starting him as well in a swing position. I am not that worried though.......

Allright, y'all talked me into starting Stecker this week.  The other option is TJ Duckett.
