John Clayton's Inside the Huddle report indicates that Donovan McNabb is playing better this year because of laser surgery.  Clayton and ESPN were duped.  McNabb was goofing around and made the story up.  Eagles offices confirmed to WIP Sports Radio this morning that McNabb did not have laser surgery.

(What really happened was the team gave McNabb some TO ointment that got rid of a nasty thrash McNabb has suffered from for the past few years.)

The competition is so high to produce "insider" info now, they'll run with anything!

Yeah, with the NFL Network getting the "total access" to the teams, it is even harder for the other media outlets to get that information.

I remember reading a Peter King (SI) article last spring where he quoted Jon Gruden saying something to the effect that an NFL Network reporter had full access, ESPN's Chris Mortensen had some access, and Fox Sports John Czarnecki had no access.

However, the NFL Network doesn't give you an unbiased view... they're just spouting the NFL league/team propaganda.
