Will Amos become the Raiders starter over Wheatly? Is he worth picking up in a scoring only league? Callie where are you?

Sorry, Steel.  Just got this.

I would wait on this one.  Think about the fact that Wheatley is not yet deemed down, Fargas is getting healthy, five-headed - whoops - four-headed monster.  Think about the fact that the Raiders like to keep us guessing.

In leagues I play in, people are grabbing Amos up.  If you have a play-around bench spot (which I always do), and if no one else more interesting is available - hey, go for it.  But I would not see it as a lock.  And I did NOT grab him.  Remember that HOU didn't see it coming and had not set up to defend against him.  He surprised them.  Now teams might plan it better.

On the other hand, my Denver Raider did grab him.  He had a slot for play-around, and he had nothing else interesting to play with this week.

BTW - if you have a play-around slot and you need a WR, Curry may still be there if you jump fast.

New news and a new take:

Wheatley could be out 2-4 weeks (shoulder).
Fargas is still questionable.

For a fill-in for this week, Zereoue should have a good game against the nothing-special Colt D.  (Crockett may vulture the goal line stuff, though.)

Too late for me! Amos was picked up faster than you could say Zereoue. I my league, Wheatley was dropped a week before he was hurt.

Turner says that Zereoue and Crockett would split carries Sunday against the Colts if Wheatley can't play.

Amos is still out there in a league I'm in where we get two waiver windows per week, one pick per window, one in the early part of the week and one in the later part of the week.  It's a deep roster league.  I'm sure someone will pick him up in the second window for this week, but it will not be me.

Besides, they're playing the Colts.  The Raiders will have to go with the pass alot.
