And as you know, Bennett is out awhile longer.

Smith will be eligible to return on Nov. 8th against the Colts.

Bennett will be back by then.  Your choice is  between Bennett and Smith, or about an RBBC.  I'd go elsewhere if there is a good option.

Check out the Viking Team report for more analysis.  I'm recommending you keep him until Bennett actually proves he can make it to the field.

Onterrio Smith was just dropped in my money league.  The owner had to drop someone because of byes... any thoughts on who is the better choice the rest of the season...

Steven Jackson (on my team currently) or Onterrio Smith

(I also grabbed Mewelde Moore this week since Rudi has a bye.)

too many variables in that one.  I'd have to say Jackson, as he's not missing 1/4 of the season, and if Bennett gets back, he will start.  However, if Bennett gets hurt again, Smith is almost a must-start and much more valuable than Jackson.

If I had to make a choice (gun to the head, life on the line, pick your cliche), I'd say Bennett will eventually make it back and be the starter from about Week 9 on.  That will leave the Viking backfield as muddled as we all expected at the start of the year.  So, if forced to pick one, I'd go with Jackson.

Thanks... that is the direction I was leaning... I grabbed Moore for this week primarily - we'll see how Moe does during the week and then it will be an open roster spot for me.  If no one else grabs Onterrio (I'm sure someone will) then I can dump Moore and let SOD ride my bench for a while (like Jackson is doing now).
