need a little help...

i'm thinking about starting pennington over brooks because buffalo's pass d is not as good a tampa bay's (on paper) - the intangibles are: buffalo really needs a win & will probably play crazy / and N.O. has, in the past, had tampa's number...) also, jamal against washington's good rush def - or pittman against N.O. terrible rush def -(yes, i'm curently in possession of the entire suspension squad of rb's)... jamal's only getting 15!@#$% touches / game - so the "never sit a stud" theory is great for us - but apparently the coaching staff isn't buying it!!! pittman, on the other hand, not a stud - but neither is the saints' defense... anyway, i NEED to win this week...whadaya think??? thanks, prm...

Hey prm, It usually works best to stick with your best players regardless of the defense they are facing, it sounds like you think Brooks is your better QB, if that's how you feel than you should go with it. Unfortunately, the Jets really haven't needed to throw that much because of the rejuvenated Curtis Martin and improved defense, but I would personally recommend Pennington over Brooks most weeks because he tends to be more consistent, last week notwithstanding. Certainly this week, where Brooks is up against Tampa your choice of Pennington over Brooks should be even easier. In the case of Jamal Lewis or Pittman, I wouldn't even give it that much thought, I would play Lewis until he is in jail or suspended no matter who he is playing. Baltimore can't win with Boller throwing and last week against KC emphasized that truism.
