Is this a good trade?

I have been offered Thomas Jones, Marc Bulger and Donte Stallworth for Kevan Barlow, Ben Roethlisberger and Marvin Harrison.  I have a trade lined up that would send Bulger to another team for Chad Johnson.  Therefore, I would give up Harrison, Barlow and Roethlisberger and get Chad Johnson, Thomas Jones and Donte Stallworth.  The rest of my roster is as follows:

QB - Plummer, Delhomme
RB - M. Faulk, S. Jackson, C. Taylor, L. Henry
WR - L. Coles, D. Givens
TE - A. Gates
K - Wilkins
DST  - Panthers

This trade would occur next week, so I would not hurt myself due to the Johnson and Jones bye weeks.

It is also important to note that the team I would trade Harrison, et al to is in my division and is currently 2 games behind me in the standings.
Any thoughts?

This trade sounds reasonable to me (assuming this is a redraft league)...  I think Jones is going to finish with better numbers than Barlow, so you have the edge there.  I think Chad Johnson will start to light it up before long.  Cincinnati has faced some tough defenses to start the season (although they don't have many reprieves as the schedule wears on).  I don't think Marvin is going to duplicate the numbers he had in previous years -- Manning has so many options (Wayne, Stokley, Edge, Pollard/Clark) that Marvin's numbers will be watered down a bit.  Add Stallworth and you have a decent bye-week guy who could put up 100 and a TD at any time.

i say dont do it....i dont like this trade....to me you are downgrading at all positions...i think thomas jones wont have great numbers without grossman around....barlow has a better chance to put up numbers with rattay...harrison is consistent and stallworth isnt.....also rothlisberger is a rookie and is bound to make some mistakes.....and the rams are a pass heavy team.....all in all i dont think you should do it....

i would 50/50 if you could get chad....i think the problem is your trading for alot of potential....and giving away alot of proven players....that is my only problem with this trade....

With ALL due RESPECT to soso, and I do see his point of view, I would do the trade (especially, vis-a-vis Philly, with whom I also give ALL due RESPECT, if this is a keeper league).  As it has come to be known, I do NOT like Barlow.  I have made that abundantly clear for months now.  That situation stinks and it ain't gettin' better soon, "Rattay" (who I do like, but... ) notwithstanding.  I also do not think that Barlow is that good of a back.  Thomas Jones has done enough to show he's got it (at least more than Barlow).  ...  I haven't been a big fan of Stallworth, but I do see a sliver of hope in him... and Harrison is having a rough time getting rolling this season (Wayne and Stokely are emerging; James is again becoming a focal point; TE Dallas Clark, current absence aside, has big upside; read, Harrison, believe it or not, may become expendable at season's end vis-a-vis the Colts salary-cap sitch and that transition may already be in its nascent stages).  ...  Though, from an NFL (and personal) perspective I like Big Ben better than Bulger; fantasy-wise, the respective systems canNOT be denied:  Bulger is in a WAY better one (for QB's at least).  I would do the original trade in a heartbeat.  ...  As for then trading Bulger for Johnson, I would first try to move Plummer (who, mind you, as a DIEHARD I LOVE ; I digress... my GBRFL team, "The Two Jakes", are led by the same two QB's as your current team) or Delhomme (who also is among my "favorites") for a lesser, but solid receiver like Toomer, Jimmy or Rod Smith, S. Moss, who's been a little slow coming out of the gate and, thus, whose value might be a bit down right now, K. Robinson, ditto Moss, Terry Glenn, unlike Moss, and maybe a little sweetener.  Or, just go on and do the Johnson deal.  That's a decent approach.  ...  Good luck, at any rate, and, moreover, to "the Gridiron", friend!  I hope to see you hangin' out often!
