Intriguing trade offer

Big trade offer to consider. I have been offered  Holmes,  Owens and Harrington for Manning, Alexander and Driver. It's really hard for me to even consider giving up Manning for Harrington. Although the Owens for Driver equation looks good. Holmes for Alexander seems like a wash to me.  What do ya'll think? Go or no go? Thanks for your input. I am currently 3 - 2 in a 10 team league.

My Team:
QB  Manning, Garcia
RB  Alexander, R Johnson, K Jones, McGahee, Pittman
WR Driver, J Smith, K Robinson, McCareins, Branch
TE  LJ Smith
K Vanderjagt
D N.E.

Personally, I'd pull the trigger.    I do like Manning better than Harrington but Harrington will be respectable.  I like Owens significantly more than Driver.    I also like Holmes more than Alexander.  Holmes is very solid while Alexander can be "streaky."  I'd do it.

That would actually be a pretty tough call for me.  I like Manning much better than Harrington.  Harrington is still young and inconsistent and will throw some picks.  I do like Priest better than Alexander though although the difference is small to me.  Now, on the issue of Terrell Owens, I like him a lot better than Donald Driver.  Even though I think you'd make up a lot by getting Owens and Holmes, you are losing quite a bit at the QB position, especially if you dont have a very good backup.

once again, a deep keeper league? Then, I still would probably not do it just because, I dont think Holmes will last much past this year (retirement?, injury?) however, the big catch to this trade is Owens for Driver which is the selling point but, Owens isn't getting any younger and IMO, he has an above average QB throwing to him but, not an elite one.

If this is a re-draft leagu,e then, I do the deal.

yep, I'd do it.

Holmes v Alexander::::Holmes as he's a bigger part of KC's offense.

TO v. Driver:::::no contest

Harrington v. Manning::::Manning for sure

who's your other QB?

I'm going to dissent here and say no.   Manning is too good to give up for Harrington.   That can't be argued.

Owens is a huge upgrade over Driver, but it's still a WR.   He can be shut down, though no one's done it yet!  Even if TO get's a TD every game here on out, and Driver doesn't get one all year, I'm willing to bet Manning can put up 1 more TD every game than Harrington, and cover the receiving yards.   So I'd say you wash out here.

Zander vs Holmes; KC is not the team they were, but Holmes still has 20 more attempts than Zander, and 1 more TD.  Both are averaging 4.4/carry.  This is too close to call, and I think it looks better than it is.  Zander can be streaky, but I like him better this year than Holmes.

I'd stand pat!

Good Luck!

I agree with Capt Purple.  I would rather have Alexander than Holmes, especially in a keeper league.  Manning is the man.  Harrington has a lot of talent, but he will not put up the numbers that Manning will.  Owens is extremely good, but you have Branch coming back soon and Koren Robinson.  They should help out your WR situation.  I would not do this trade.

Tell us your league scoring.  If you get 6/TD pass, then you CANNOT do this trade.  Manning is so much more valuable than Harrington, and Harrington keeps losing his weapons - and Detroit isn't as deep as Indy is.

Alexander and Priest are a wash in my book right now.

TO is much better than Driver, but I think QB is more important than WR in most cases.

I vote NO.

I also vote no on this trade. Manning is way to valuable to give up at this point.
