Trade: Tomlinson for CPepp?

I've got Vick and recently acquired BigBen. I had Collins but dropped him for all the obvious reasons. I'm 1-4 and desparately need a QB who can score positive pts. | I DIGRESS...
I would be 3-2 if I had a QB who reliably got me 10 stinkin points! 1TD & 80 yds passing, too much to ask?? Vick SUCKS! |
|
| | So I've been offered, unsolicited, the following: I get David Carr, he gets LT2. Obviously he thinks I'm a moron, which my wife would agree with, but that's a different story. I'm thinking of countering LT2 for CPepp. My other RBs: Chris Brown & Bennett. We start 2 + 1 WR/RB flex. So I'm obviously upgrading my QB, but I'm in a world of hurt at RB. There's not much on the WW, best prospects: Richie Anderson & R Lee Pittman Pinner I'd probably grab Pittman, who's scored 3 & 8 in the two games he's played, by my leagues scoring. Like I said, I'm 1-4 and going up against an undefeated team this week. Need a win or my season is pretty much done. Opinions? Thanks!

LT will explode, like Ricky did in 2003? Like CMart in 2002? Like Ahman so far in 2004? Or Portis in 2004? Every year there is a superstar that goes early and doesn't perform. As far as a wait and see approach, I don't have that luxury. Sure, I can wait another 3 weeks. Lose 3 more games, then take solace in the fact that my 1-7 team ended up 6-8. I didn't make the playoffs, didn't win any money, but hey! I stuck with my guys and they eventually came around! Just trying to decide if I gotta get something done now.

| I shot high and offered him LT2 for CPepp & D Davis. I'm sure he'll decline, but we have at least set the bar high. on Oct 14th, 2004, 1:02pm, Philly wrote:| Who does this guy have at RB? Maybe you can package Vick (and send him some of KKS's analysis of how Vick is getting ready to explode onto the FF scene again) with LT2 for Carr and a decent (though not as good as LT2) RB. |
| He has DDavis, WGreen, Edge & Duckett. I don't see Carr as that much of an upgrade over Big Ben, so I don't think I'll settle for less than CPepp. on Oct 14th, 2004, 1:02pm, Philly wrote:| In the short term, Pinner and Pittman aren't terrible options. Pinner will get plenty of carries (especially if Roy Williams is gimpy) and he scored last week. |
| I agree, short term these guys could plug in. Minny has a lot of weak pass Ds on their schedule, so a lost TD from LT2 is almost certainly picked up by CPepp.

| Again, I don't have much flexibility to wait for Vick and/or LT2 to turn it on. At 1-4, I've got only 1-2 losses left. If I fall to .500, doubtful to make the playoffs. It's all well and good to say he'll turn it around, but what good does that do a 1-6 team? on Oct 14th, 2004, 4:32pm, junkyard872 wrote:| HOW MANY MORE WEEKS IS CPEPP GOING TO GET 5TDS |
| I don't need 5 TDs, I JUST NEED 1 OR 2 WITHOUT 3 FUMBLES AND AN INT. VICK SUCKS!

| just to be clear, I'm not dumping Vick, i'm attempting to upgrade my QB while Vick continues to suck major a$$. I think I can cover LT2s output with CPepp, and am trying to decide if I can get enough more from CPepp to cover the drop off in RBs I'll take on.
