Who should I use as my kicker? Who is best for this week and who is best for the long term? I currently have Longwell. Wilkins has a bum plant foot ankle and is questionable for this week. He has a bye next week.

| Longwell gets a lot of XP opportunities, but not too many FG chances, plus he's going to be kicking in the frozen north in another month or so. Wilkins hits those long FGs and gets a lot of XP chances, but, as you said, is hurt right now. Stover is very reliable. He doesn't get too many XP chances, but he tends to get more FG chances. Plus he's the most likely guy of the four to have one of those 4 or 5 FG days. Although he doesn't have quite the range of Longwell or Wilkins. Doug Brien is one of those guys that I've always looked at as a bye-week fill in because he's generally available on waivers. Although the Jets seem to be scoring more this year so he's getting more chances. In the long run, I'd go with a healthy Wilkins first and the reliable Stover second.

| That's never really mattered before. The only thing that seems to really matter with kickers is rain. That's why it is often difficult to hang your hat on Seattle or even San Francisco kickers, even the good ones. Longwell is a solid kicker. He will continue to have a solid season, elements aside. That said, in the long run, I would want a healthy Wilkins, another solid kicker and one who kicks inside. For now, though, I would go with Longwell.

| Sorry for quoting out of context slightly, but... Yeah, a healthy Wilkins is the obvious choice, yet he isn't healthy. This is fantasy football, but the fantasy part doesn't mean we can use conjectured stats based on health of players. Go with Longwell in the short and long runs. The difference in stats between the two when healthy isn't enough to justify Wilkins over Longwell when Wilkins is dinged.
