Coles or Burleson

I am definitely starting Chad Johnson.  I need to figure out the other WR to start.  In my league, we do not get any points for catches.

Burleson has a good matchup against the Colts.  The Vikes has struggled without Moss, who apparently will not play this week.

Coles has been getting a lot of catches, but just has not found the endzone.

Who should I start; Burleson or Coles?

PS  I also have Stallworth and Givens.  Givens is questionable with a bad knee.  Stallworth has been inconsistent.

If Givens can go, I'd put him first, Coles second, Burleson third, and Stallworth fourth.

Im in the same situation you are. I'am starting Chad Johnson and in a highly questionable and soon to be criticized move, I'm going out on a limb and starting Burleson along side of Johnson. My other receivers are Rod Smith, Roy Williams, and Hines Ward but I really think Burleson is going to do something this week. Let the negative outbursts begin.

Do you think that Moss being out will help Burleson?  The offense has been weak without Moss.  Although, they did light it up in the second half of the game in which Moss was injured.  Burleson is undoubtedly very talented and he is going against the Colts.

However, Coles gets a lot of touches and a lot of looks.  Other than Portis, Coles is the Skins biggest target.  He has to break loose one of these weeks.

Does anyone know about Givens' status?

Burleson has been the target of more passes from Culpepper than anyone else on the team.  My inclination is that the return of Onterrio Smith will bite into Burleson's looks a bit.  And once they get into the red zone, Marcus Robinson or Jermaine Wiggins will get the most chances.

Again, Coles gets the chances, but Rod Gardner seems to get the scores.  I still like Coles a tiny bit better than Burleson.

He has still not practiced this week (nor has Branch or Brown) at all.  He injured his knee last week, but could still play this week.  Check to see if he practices today or tomorrow.  Although you may be safer putting a healthy WR in your lineup.

With the Pack on a bye this week, I am debating between Burleson and Givens myself. If Givens is healthy, I'll start him, but if not, I am going with Nate.

I'd choose Coles over Burleson if I have the choice though.

Both Robinson and Burleson are good options in the red zone this week.  Hey, they're playing the Colts D!  (The Colts like cover-2, but how many guys can they cover?).   I think Robinson will be the first read between the two WRs (and I'm playing Robinson in one league), but the Colts know that, too.  I say both have some looks.

Laveranues Coles has CB Dre Bly up his butt all day.

Did NE take Shanney lessons?  Who KNOWS the status of Givens?

I'd be careful here.   The Colts are going to be leading significantly, and the passing game is going to get harder and harder for the Vikings.   I think you'll see yards for the Viking WRs, but not TDs this week.  Maybe an RZ to Robinson or Burleson, but not enough to warrant a start unless you're really desperate.

Moss out,... definitely Burleson.  He WILL score at least one on Monday night.  He'll also get solid yardage, at least 80 yards.  Coles probably won't score,... again.  Coles actually has a nagging leg or foot injury that will persist through the season.  This is a no-brainer... with Moss out.

It's almost a no-brainer even if Moss is in.  Coles has done nothing this year.
Givens is a nice start, but his health is in question this week.  He's done very well the last few weeks.

Hey, legends!  Welcome to the FF threads!

I think you are right about Givens being a good start if he actually gets to play, and now Belichick is saying he should go to "probable" before gametime.
