I'm in a non-keeper league and there's a free agent I would like to pick up. I probably wouldn't start this player but he is a slam-dunk starter for most teams. Therefore, this move is purely defensive... keeping him away from other teams.
For obvious reasons, I don't start Henry or Bennett at RB. However, I've been holding on to them for fear of them landing the starting roll again and someone else grabbing them.
The defensive player is DB - Roy Williams. Again, I may or may not start him at DB (I start Harrison now).
I never start Henry or Bennett (and probably wouldn't if they won their jobs back), but am holding them to keep them away from other contenders.
Keep Bennett and Henry? Drop one and pick up Williams? If so, drop who?
Do you have any other options? All 3 of those players deserve to be on rosters. I like Bennett's prospects this season slightly more than Henry's simply because Henry lost his spot due to performance and Bennett missed out because of injury. Because there are so many Minny RBs, this is very close.
Comparing Roy Williams (DB) to these 2 is hard to do without knowing the league details. In most leagues, I'd take Roy over either of those 2, unless I was depleted at RB. Williams really is a stud at his position even though he hasn't had the production to go along with that status this season. I think he will turn that around in the second half of the season.
