big trade ? - additional ? 11-12

my team 5-2-1 (i believe 6-2-1 after tonight), 12 tm redraft.
scoring - longer tds=more pts (ex. 2 yd td=5 pts, 50 yd td= 15 pts), RB/WR - 25 yds=1 pt, QB - 50 yds= 1 pt

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
QB: Testaverde, Harrington    [start 1]
RB: C Mart, Jordan, D Davis, Wells, C Taylor, Wheatley,Morris    [start 2]
WR/TE:  R Moss, Holt, Gonzo, Lelie   [start 3]
K: J Brown, Wilkins     [start 1]
DEF:  BAL, BUF    [start 1]
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

i think i need a QB upgrade.

i was offered Harrison & Rudi Johnson for C Mart, Lelie & BUF def.  the BUF def doesnt mean anything to me cause i will play BAL rest of the year, so its really RB for RB & WR for WR.

1)  would u do the trade??

if i do, i would then try to trade one of the WR & a RB (prob Wheatley,Gonzo & Testaverde) for a Hasselback & 1 of his WR/TE.  the guy that has Hass wants Wheatley already & needs a decent WR although he might want one of the big 3.

i think Hass is an upgrade over what i have and has a much bettert schedule the rest of the way. (@ STL, MIA, BUF, DAL, @ MIN, @ NYJ, ARI - last 3 are playoffs)

if both work out i would have:

QB:  Hasselback,  Harrington
RB:  R Johnson, D Davis, Wells, Morris, Jordan, C Taylor
WR:  R Moss, Holt, Harrison, ??? (either hakim, parker, mcdonald, price, e johnson)
K: Wilkins, J Brown
DEF:  BAL

i know its alot but what do u think???  thanks.  KC

Personally, I like your team a bit better after you make both deals. I agree with you, you need a QB upgrade. Your WRs would be top notch and your RB are good.  Go for it!

i would go ahead with those trades. i like trading away  when stock is high (Martin) and trading for when stock is low (Hasselback).  I watched the entire seahawks game and Matt looked more like the matt fromlast year so i would do the trade and expect big things form hasselback, plus you are adding harrison whos stock is a little low for him, whom i believe will finish very strong

I agree.  Go for both of those.  As you mentioned, you don't need Buffalo.  Harrison seems back on track and you are getting Hasslebeck.  He is a very strong QB and, as junkyard mentioned, you may be able to get him because his stock in low.  Regardless, you should be stronger even if you do not get Hasslebeck.  Go for the first and then see if you can work something else out.

one more question.  i can do the first trade (i havent pulled the trigger yet) for Harrison & R johnson but the guy with Hass just wrote me and he doesnt want Gonzo - he'd rather Lelie (of course).  so, if i pull the first trade i'll have Holt, Harrison, R Moss, & Gonzo.  would u give up any of the big 3 to get Hass?  is Hass worth it?  (dont forget R Moss is still out - how much longer?.

***i could try and go back to the first guy & try & give him Gonzo instead of Lelie - then i could use Lelie for the seond trade which would work it all out perfectly.  would u take C Mart, Gonzo & BUF def for Rudi Johnson & Harrison?????

thanks again.  KC.

Sure, I'd take Gonzo. He's Green's #1 target, and can score every week in that high powered KC offense.

i cant seem to get anyone to trade me a QB - so i cant upgrade there.

still thinking of pulling the trade for Harrison & R Johnson.  He still wants CMart, BUF D (throw in) and either Gonzo or Lelie.
which WR would you rather trade away?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
QB: Harrington, Testy
RB: CMart, Jordan, D Davis, Wells, Morris, Wheatley, C Taylor [start 2]
WR/TE: R Moss, Holt, Lelie, Gonzo [start 3]
K: Wilikins, J Brown
DEF: BALT, BUF
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

thanks.  KC

I don't see your starting lineup makeup.  Is it QB-WR-WR-RB-RB-WR/TE-K-D?

If so, you can't start all 4 of your stud WR/TEs anyway, so I don't see how obtaining Harrison helps you that much.   CMart is much better than Rudi this year, so unless you see CMart hitting a wall and falling off the ProBowl train he's on right now, I don't like this deal.

If your roster allows you to start all 4 of those guys, then I think I'd send Lelie, as you'll probably makeup the loss from CMart to Rudi with Harrison over Lelie.

Good Luck!
