Is it really that unbelievable? Moss has become more and more disgruntled the last 3 years. Many feel he was about 1/2 season from pulling a Mike McKenzie and forcing a trade. While I think the sanctimonious tone taken by Fox and ESPN announcers following his "moon" in GB was laughable, I think Moss had truly become a cancer that needed to be dealt with. This team is now officially Daunte's, which is a very good thing. Harris helps what is definitely the most needed position on the team. There's a #7 to pick up another WR or a safety, then a second first-rounder to grab the best NT on the board. The Vikings will almost certainly take a step back offensively, but they'll at least get enough D to be more competitive in the playoffs.

Another link, from ESPN http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=1998159 Edit: I wondered what Jerry Porter thinks of this, thought he'd like it and I was right! "If the Raiders can get him, it'll be the 1999-2000 Minnesota Vikings all over again," said Raiders receiver Jerry Porter, who signed a five-year, $21 million contract on Tuesday to remain with the team. "We've got a big gun quarterback, two capable receivers on the outside. If we get a running game, we could go all the way." http://sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/c/a/2005/02/23/MOSS.TMP

| I think it is skyrocketing in peoples minds. However, I read yesterday that Collins has never had a season with more than 22 TDs. (1 season) He also had one season in which he threw 21. That is not the most impressive resume. Granted, on paper he looks better, but in reality I am not sure that is the case. I think a better statement would be as to how much Moss's value goes down......

| Collins is still relatively young (compared to Gannon, at least), he has plenty of receivers to throw to now, a solid offensive line, and little-to-no running game. I think Collins could be a top 10 QB next season. Is that really that unreasonable?

| I think he's probably a starting QB next year fantasy wise. But if you get dinged for INTs as most do, you could be looking at 2-4 points lost per game. Say a career year of 28 TDs and a not so thrilling 22 INTs to go with it.
