Based on Kerry Collins performance in the second half of last year and the aquisition of Moss,I'm thinking he could throw for 30-35 tds and would definitly be worth a third round pick. What do you guys think?

i totally agree... Kerry is coming at a value in the drafts that i have been in.  The only problem people have with drafting kerry collins is actually drafting the name Kerry Collins, cause he has been so bad in the passed.

I wouldn't doubt that Collins throws for 30+ tds, but that may happen because the Raiders defense is so bad that the offense is persistently playing catchup.  He will probably also throw a ton of interceptions.

In any event, why waste a 3rd round pick on Collins when you can get him in the 5th round ?  (And if anyone in your league is stupid enough to take him in the 3rd round, wish them luck and take Carson Palmer or Tom Brady 3 rounds later).

I fully back JunkyardJake.  Collins would be a very nice QB, but he is not valuable enough to take in the third round.  If Collins is available in the 5th, I would jump on him.  Taking him in the 3rd will force you to reach for quality RBs or WRs that you could have taken in that place.

I've heard (and read) good things about Carson Palmer, but I have never actually seen him play before. Just how good is this kid?

I would bet that Collins will go after the top 5 QBs in just about any draft, will go in the 4th or 5th round (depending on the number of teams in the league), and will be of great value.  How many targets does one QB need to be a stud, assuming a cannon for an arm on a vertical game committed team with a good running game to keep the D even more honest and a D that forces answers to points scored against?

Grove is now officially at center, replacing Treu.  The O line has more experience playing together and are actually being played in their more natural positions (not sure about the D, Ryan is still Ryan), and that means - like in this past weekend's game - that Kerry's uniform finally stays clean.  Fewer INT's.
