In my weekly preview, I mentioned Dom Caper's masterful coaching job during the 1996 season. I was right about that, but wrong about the team. Tom Coughlin led the Jaguars to their late season surge in '96, while Capers took the Panthers to the NFC championship (besting my beloved Cowboys in the process.)

good report.   i don't follow the texans that closely and don't understand the drop off they have experienced.  was it too much to ask of an expansion team that tried to make an early splash?  got this feeling it is all about o and d line.  can you give me a little more insight on where they are heading?  thanks and enjoyed reading your report.

Where are the Texans heading? to Hell, that's where they're heading. Offensively, they don't have an identity and they look like they don't have a clue.
