To expand upon Callie's (either revealing or misleading... only time will tell) quote that regarded Nick Saban's intimating the possibility of Ronnie Brown's seeing time at fullback with Ricky Williams at tailback and was recently appended to an old wdIs thread of prm's, here is a LOCAL piece I found via "the Gridiron Newsstand": "Ricky, Brown to be on field at same time" Key quotes... "Dolphins coach Nick Saban used the word 'split' when referring to the way Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams will be used beginning with Sunday's game at Tampa Bay." "Among the many ways the Dolphins plan to use Brown and Williams on the field at the same time is a spread formation with one of them split out in the slot or a wideout position. The other is then put in the backfield as a single setback. That's the most obvious way (to get them both on the field at the same time)..." BUT... "Brown said last week that he was looking forward to the different ways he could be on the field with Williams, even if that meant occasionally being more of a classic fullback." "Brown, who has been impressive as a blocker all along and has rushed for 229 yards in the past two games, played some fullback in college." "'He hasn't had an opportunity to do it [with the Dolphins],' Saban said, 'but we've seen him do it before, and he did do it in college, and as we can develop those roles for him, those are the kind of things we'd like to do in the future.'" ENJOY what the Rock's cookin' for yous!!! ...
