Keep an eye on this in case they're right!

News currently from atop "The REAL Feed":

Son of late Walter Payton activated for first NFL game
SI.com: NFL (02.10.2005 12:13)

This might just be worth duly noting and tucking away for future reference.  I, for one, as many of you know, think this guy, if given a chance, might just make it in the NFL, his mediocre-to-disappointing college career notwithstanding.

This article's title says that Volek WILL start this week, later in the article Fisher is quoted as saying that McNair is feeling much better and he's not ruled out.  Coach speak?

http://www.tennessean.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20051021/SPORTS01/5 1021008/1027

What IS it with these coaches?  Arizona doesn't want to reveal if they will start Warner or McCown this week either.  What's next, depth charts released in secret code right after the coin toss?

There's further confirmation... from "The REAL Feed":

Volek to start at QB for Titans' ailing McNair
ESPN: NFL (22.10.2005 13:36)
Volek to start at QB for Titans' ailing McNair by Len PasquarelliThe back stiffness that has dogged Steve McNair and kept him out of practice entirely this week will keep him out of the lineup at well on Sunday, as the Tennessee Titans will start backup Billy Volek instead.A six-year veteran, Vo...

Just in case you've been comatose over the last couple days (and are participating in our Post-season Contest or one of the GBRFLeagues, namely the GBRFL, where this will come into play by default via the "cascading" rule)...  From "The REAL Feed":

Steve McNair Added to Pro Bowl
Pro Football Critics (09.02.2006 20:42)
Tennessee Titans veteran QB Steve McNair was added to the Pro Bowl after Denver Broncos QB Jake Plummer pulled out due to injury. McNair will be an alternate, and may see some playing time in the second half. This will be his second Pro Bowl. He joins Peyton Manning of the Indianapolis Colts and ...
