Should I give Lloyd for Shipp?

Should I trade away Lloyd for Shipp? I have Westbrook, Jamal and Ronnie Brown for my top 3 RBS. I like Shipp's upside and I really don't like the niners offense, but hes still their #1 WR.  What do you guys think?

Who else do you have at WR?  Rattay could be demoted, but Smith has not impressed so far.  He just doesn't seem ready - YET.  Still, the 9ers just keep getting destroyed by injuries.   How many WRs do you start, and do you have a flex spot?

I think your WR corps is good, and you can easily take the loss of a player there if everyone stays healthy.  Shipp helps your depth if he stays the starter, and Arrington may or may not get it together.  The only problem is if the Cards focus on the pass or if they go to a RBBC - which they could.

You have 4 good WRs for starters and the flex.  RBs are fewer and more far between to do an injury replacement or for RB-as-flex in a good match up.  So based on that, I would lean toward that trade.  Lloyd may be at his highest value for it now, so I would try to make a counter-offer to see if I could get a little more for him.  Maybe he has a bench player he doesn't care about that would help you even more for depth.  Sounds like the other guy is needful in the WR department, so he may be willing to do a lot to get Lloyd.  He probably targeted you for the trade because you are so good at WR.

a bigger problem is that the cards SUCK when running the ball...i don't think your wr slot is bad either...i'd be surprised if you couldn't do a little better for lloyd..i don't see arz's running game getting any better...i'd play a te over shipp or arrington (who, by the way i dropped last week & is still on the ww)... i'd try for a better deal...good luck ...

i would ask for more than shipp for lloyd.  the cardinals can't run the ball and neither can the 49ers.  49ers have to get the ball to lloyd.  good luck and

Rumor is that Bennett is heading to Arizona before October 18th.  VFikes don't want him and Green likes him.

Well, looks like Smith gets the start for now in SF:

Might be good to see how he does, and how he does with Lloyd.  I don't know.  A rookie QB on a very injured team....

Your trade-offering buddy may pull back.

Assuming this is NOT a deep keeper league, I would do it especially now that Smith has been named the starter and, as Callie suggests, just for the bump up in value that comes with going from a WR to RB.  I would try to get a little more thrown in if possible, not because I think it is necessary, but because I think it is possible.  Good luck!

In the event of injury to your WR corps, you should be able to find someone on the waiver wire who can help out as much as Lloyd.   He probably will not put up very good numbers with Smith in the game.  It is very difficult for me to believe that Smith will be able to throw for many yards with the offense being as it is.

However, I agree with the others who said that you may be able to get better than Shipp for Lloyd.  The rumor about Bennett could severely hamper Shipp's value.  Green in a big fan of Shipp so it seems odd that the head coach would look to obtain Bennett.

You could do worse than getting Shipp, but there is a chance you could do better.  If you cannot wait, pull the trigger.  If you can, shop Lloyd around.
