Should I trade Joe Horn for Hines Ward?  If I need to, should I throw in Pittman?

Has anyone heard about Horn's or Ward's status for this week?  I know that they both have hamstring issues.

It doesnt look good for Ward to play. He tried to practice and couldnt. Thats not good for a player as tough as him.  Also keep in mind whats coming up for the Steelers and opposing defenses.

Even with those solid D's that Pitt faces, I still like  ward and the Steeler passing game over Brooks and company. But, as of right now it appears Horn is ready to go and Ward is not.  I don't think its a good idea to give up Horn and Pittman both especially considering cadillac's injuries. It even looks like Pittman may start this week. I'm not sure how your WR depth is, but if you may want to try Horn for Ward straight up and hope Ward gets back soon.

How about Pittman, Horn and Lelie for Ward and Houshmandzadeh?

I may offer Horn for Ward and the above offer and see which one he might take.  Thoughts?

tm20 is right here.  Horn needs very little sweetener added to him to cut a deal for Ward,... and that's only because of Ward's current injury sitch.

Furthermore, I haven't given up on Lelie yet.  I personally would not give him up for Houshmandzadeh though I can see someone's doing so.  Lelie has been that frustrating so far this year,... and may end up busting.  But, still, they're roughly equalish.  And, if Lelie does get untracked, which is possible even though it looks bleak right now, that's a deal you're going to regret BIG-time.  On the other hand, unless C. Johnson gets injured, you pretty much know what you're going to get with Houshmandzadeh, which is at this time better than what you get with Lelie, but still not all that great and not completely unsurpassable by Lelie if he gets it going.  ...  And, Pittman, I would actually rather have than T.J.  If you give him up in this deal as well, that's just a donation.  ...  Bottom line, lumberman, this second deal is WORSE than the first,... and it probably follows that tm20, based on the response above, is going to think so, too.  This second deal is terrible.  The first is too.  Do NEITHER!  Again, as tm20 suggests, Horn and Ward should be almost able to be moved straight across, one for the other.  Good luck!
