HOW ABOUT THIS LITTLE NUGGET LYING EXPOSED ... ... (I'm sorry... I couldn't help myself ) ON "The REAL Feed"???  In Cleveland this weekend, Detroit's QB "situation" won't be the only one "looming"...  Here's the word... HOT off "The REAL Feed":

Quarterbacks in Spotlight for Browns, Lions
The Sports Network: NFL (21.10.2005 14:48)

Get QB Charlie Frye on your respective radars, fellow Gridironers!!!  I've heard nothing but good things about this kid!!! If Detroit does to Dilfer this weekend what they did to Delhomme last, it's likely we'll see Frye entering the ball game.

This may be beyond just controversy...  It may be more accurate to say, "Let the transition begin..."  From "The REAL Feed":

UPDATE on the QB situation... from "The REAL Feed":

Will Dilfer be sacked?
The Sports Network: NFL (01.11.2005 19:36)

Sorry, Trent. I know that you haven't been dealt the fairest hand in the NFL.  BUT, that does not mean that another young up-and-comer should be dealt a bad hand, too.  Crennel would be well-advised to start the kid a.s.a.p. and get as long and as good of a look at him as possible during regular-season play.

In other news... from "The REAL Feed":

Browns RB Droughns charged with drunken driving
ESPN: NFL (01.11.2005 21:27)
Browns RB Droughns charged with drunken driving by Associated PressSTRONGSVILLE, Ohio -- Cleveland Browns running back Reuben Droughns was arrested and charged with drunken driving early Tuesday. The State Highway Patrol said Droughns was pulled over at 1:09 a.m. after a trooper spotted the 27-ye...

This probably will NOT amount to "two squirts of piss" (literally and figuratively).  But, it's worth making note of.  William Green is probably available, and rightfully so mind you, on most of your waiver wires, BUT I still think the guy could be a reasonably good NFL back if put in the right situation.

Braylon Edwards out for the season!

http://abcnews.go.com/Sports/wireStory?id=1373933

"Players with similar injuries typically need eight to 12 months of rehab to recover."

Wow, worst case scenario puts him out for most of next year, too.

Mark my words, and theirs...  This hometown kid is the real deal!  We'll be watching this guy for years to come.  Heed these words, keeper leaguers,... or forever hold your "piece". From "The REAL Feed":

UPDATE on WR Edwards...  News is not good...  It is highly UNlikely that he will be ready by their '06 season opener.  From "The REAL Feed":

Browns' Edwards faces long rehab after knee surgery
ESPN: NFL (03.01.2006 18:30)
Browns' Edwards faces long rehab after knee surgery by Associated PressCLEVELAND -- Browns rookie wide receiver Braylon Edwards had successful surgery Tuesday to repair a torn ligament in his right knee and faces months of rehabilitation. Edwards, the No. 3 overall pick in last year's draft...
