Hasselbeck or McNair, Benson or Moore?

Fellas, I need a little help. I think Hasselbeck vs. Houston may be too good a matchup. That is, if the Seahawks get up big early, will they shut down the passing game and go to the ground? McNair is going against the Bengals so he may have trouble all day. Should I go with Hasselbeck and hope that he gets a couple of touchdowns early? It looks like Benson will start against the Vikings. He has struggled with pass blocking so he may only be a two down back. Also, the Bears seem to like Peterson. There may be plenty of rushing yards to go around as the Vikings have been very weak against the run. Meanwhile, Moore is going against the Bears defense that is much more stingy. While Moore has put up some good yardage numbers, he has yet to score a touchdown. Should I go with Moore or Benson? Should I go with Hasselbeck or McNair?

The Texans rank 23rd against the pass, allowing 227 yards and 6 TD's through the air per game. The Bengals rank 10th and have allowed 188 yards and 4 TD's via the air per game. In my humble opinion...I'd go with Hasselbeck. They will still throw the ball enough to get some yards and a score or two...plus...there is the added bonus that HOUSTON is the only team that has yet to record an interception this season!!! As for RB I like Benson! |
| MC is right... I'll just pick up where he left off and expound just a bit on Benson. All the Peterson talk is just hype to light a fire under Benson's ass and keep him thinking that the job is not going to be handed to him without 150% effort on his part (in fact, the job is ultimately his to lose in the long run; they just don't want him losing it). Peterson is a stop-gap backup in their minds, period. That's why Jones was brought in last year. If anything, so as to sell Bear nation on Benson, who they ultimately want to be their guy as he is a better fit for the type of offense they are striving to run, and help them forget about Jones, who was great last year and has again been great this year thus far but is a guy, based on their new offensive scheme, they really want to replace, they will do everything they can to make it so Benson BLOWS UP this week. Actually, Jones's getting injured last week and missing this week's game against a soft Minnesota run D plays right into their hands. Right now, Jones looks very tradable (to a team like New Orleans, let's say) AND Benson can help Chicago forget about him with a HUGE game this week, and the transition can begin. It's potentially the perfect scenario. Go with Benson, hands-down!!!
