Jaguars In-season Report

- From "The REAL Feed":

Jags' Taylor remains questionable
The Sports Network: NFL (14.10.2005 21:46)

While everybody rushes to get Alvin Pearman, a sneaky-good pick-up might be RB Greg Jones, especially if you are in a TD-only league.

UPDATE on RB Taylor... from "The REAL Feed":

Jags' Taylor downgraded to questionable
The Sports Network: NFL (28.10.2005 18:36)

All the "hype" around Alvin Pearman aside, Greg Jones is the guy who should be on your radar. As it stands, even if Taylor plays, Jones will probably come in on the goal-line.

RE:  QB Byron Leftwich...  From "The REAL Feed":

Leftwich could miss month with broken ankle
ESPN: NFL (27.11.2005 21:09)
Jags' Leftwich could miss month with broken ankle by Associated PressTEMPE, Ariz. -- Jacksonville Jaguars starting quarterback Byron Leftwich broke a bone in his left ankle Sunday early in the first quarter against the Arizona Cardinals."He's got a crack in the ankle," coach Jack Del Rio said af...

Though I believe Leftwich to be a fine NFL quarterback, his fantasy value is surely on the low side.  His replacement, on the other hand, David Garrard, may not be the leader, gridiron stud and field general Leftwich is, but he may put up better numbers making him a more effective fantasy option.  This also provides him with an end-of-season stage to showcase himself for other teams for the future/next year.  Garrard is definitely worth keeper leaguers' keeping their eyes on and picking up this week.

UPDATE on QB Leftwich...  From "The REAL Feed":

Leftwich wants to return; Jags' QB situation uncertain
ESPN: NFL (26.12.2005 09:36)
Leftwich wants to return; Jags' QB situation uncertain by Len PasquarelliFor the first time since 1999, the Jacksonville Jaguars are in the playoffs, having earned a wild-card spot in part because of the 3-1 record backup quarterback David Garrard has posted in replacing an injured Byron Leftwic...

I don't think Leftwich's job is really in jeopardy or anything, but Garrard's performance may be making him a bit antsy.
