Trade help: Chris Brown for Fergy or Wayne

I'm stacked at RB and trying to trade Chris Brown off his great week. For those that followed this drama a few weeks ago, this is unwilling trade moron #2. I offered him Brown for Fitz or Wayne weeks ago, now he's 1-4-1 and shocker! wants Brown. He offered Ferguson, I countered with Wayne. I think Fitz would be a good compromise. Thoughts? info: we get 1 pt/rec, 1 pt/20yds, 6 pts/TD His Roster QB - Peyton, Leftwich WR - Burress, Wayne, Fitz, Ferguson, GLewis, EParker RB - Portis, Julius Jones, Pittman TE - Miller, Stevens K - Keading D - PHI My Roster QB - Hass, Favre WR - SSmith, Burleson, Mi.Clayton, Jurevicius TE - Heap RB - Priest, LJ, Rudi, Ro.Brown, CBrown , Mewelde Moore Thanks!

This is a tough fit. Personally, I would not give up Burress up for Brown. Buress is one of the top five or so most targeted receivers in the game. He has the talent and the oppportunity to put up big numbers, which we have already seen. I am not too high on Brown, but the guy you may trade with seems to be. If you can pull of Burress for Brown, do it right away. Burress is a much more valuable receiver than Brown is valubale at running back. Robert Ferguson is not enough for Brown. Roy Williams is closer to Brown's value, but still not quite there. This would change if Garcia steps in as quarterback. I would NOT trade Brown for Ferguson. I would trade Brown for Burress. I would trade Brown for Fitzgerald. I would trade Brown for Wayne. If you need to throw in Clayton to close the deal, I would do so. His injuries are mounting, Galloway is getting all of the looks and Greise is out for the year.

Well, here's a wrinkle I hadn't considered. He's offering: J Stevens & Wayne for Heap & Brown I think this looks good. I really need the WR help. Heap has had a nice couple games, but look at the Ds he faces in the next weeks: CHI, PIT, CIN, JAC, PIT, CIN. Thats a tough road. Stevens is no slouch, and plays for a top 3 offense. I like it. Go for it?

| Heap will get the dump off passes that TE's get when their lousy QB doesn't have time to go downfield because of good defense!! I like this trade Captain...I'd pull the trigger

Pull the trigger. Brown is fragile and he just came off of a big week. Strike while the iron is hot. Heap and Stevens are not too far apart, if at all. Wayne will help you out at receiver. I would make the trade.

| He's giving up Heap... So, wouldn't this be an argument against making the trade? on Oct 20th, 2005, 3:35pm, lumber2121 wrote:Pull the trigger. Brown is fragile and he just came off of a big week. | I don't disagree with the idea of striking while the iron's hot with Brown. BUT, is this deal really taking FULL advantage of the heat of the iron here? I just think you can get more for Brown.

Personally, I do not think you can get much more for Brown. In all fairness, I am a pretty big detractor of Brown. He is too upright when he runs. This, coupled with his relatively thin frame (6-3 and 220), makes him a big injury risk. Plus, Travis Henry is going to get some work when he come back, even if it is dimished because of the nature of his suspension. Obviously the Titans do not have a large amount of faith in Brown either. Why else would they trade for Henry? Steg may be right. You might be able to get a bit more. Counter with Burress and Stevens for Brown and Heap. When is balks, offer Fitzgerald and Stevens for Brown and Heap. If you have to, I would still take Wayne and Stevens for Brown and Heap. You could use some help at receiver and you have better depth at running back.
