Giants owner Wellington Mara died Tuesday at 89.
 
Wellington saw it all in NFL
Newsday.com: New York Giants (26.10.2005 04:30)
John Jeansonne covered the Giants for Newsday from 1973 through 1978, when consistently bad teams seriously eroded fans' appreciation of Wellington Mara.

New York Daily News: Sports - Football (05.01.2006 06:34)
Jeremy Shockey wasn't available to the Giants against Oakland last week. The helplessness that came with sitting out while his teammates tried to secure the NFC East title and a home game in the playoffs made him more miserable than his high ankle sprain.
