Brunell's injury is a sprained MCL...  That's typically not that bad of an injury, BUT remember Brunell's knee has been SHREDDED BIG-time,... making what would be a rather minor first-time injury something of greater concern, both in the immediate and long-term future...  From off "the Gridiron Newsstand":

"Redskins QB Brunell sprains MCL in knee"

Springs aggravated his groin injury in the first half of Sunday's 31-...

The $1,000,000 question is...  Do all these injuries the Redskins are dealing with affect your picks in the "FIRST-EVER Playoff Portenders Pick-em Challenge"???  Well,... it's at least the t-shirt question...

Sean Taylor really seems to be going out of his way to make all kinds of trouble for himself here this post-season, but it doesn't seem like any of it is going to cost him any '06 post-season games...  From "The REAL Feed":

Judge: Taylor can play; trial is delayed
CBS SportsLine.com NFL News (13.01.2006 12:33)
The trial of Washington Redskins safety Sean Taylor for allegedly pointing a gun during a dispute was postponed Friday so it won't interfere with his availability through the NFL playoffs.

Redskins make another great coaching move and hire Al Saunders!!  He is expected to earn 2 million a year as offensive coordinator.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/01/19/AR200601 1902124.html

Al Saunders has been the Offensive Coordinator for the best offense in the league the past two years in KC.  He will revamp the stagnant Redskins offense.  He is expected to fit in well because he worked with Gibbs in the past and they are both 'students' of Don Coryell.

Danny Snyder the owner, once hated in DC is now becoming loved. He essentially has 3 head coaches running the team.  Gibbs, Gregg Williams, and Al Saunders.  He is spending over $10 million a year on these three coaches alone.  In addition to signing Saunders, he extended the contracts of every other coach.  Snyder has finally learned his lesson it appears and is letting the football guys run the team.

THIS IS A GREAT SIGNING!!!!!

After his hiring this had to be expected...  From "The REAL Feed":

Gibbs to give up play-calling duties for first time
ESPN: NFL (22.01.2006 13:07)
Saunders to call offensive plays for RedskinsFor the first time in his Hall of Fame coaching career, Joe Gibbs will turn over the offense and play-calling to someone else, ESPN's Chris Mortensen has learned.New offensive coordinator Al Saunders, who, like Gibbs, has ties to former NFL offensive ...

This could mean REAL BIG things for Portis, Moss & Co. in '06!!!
